I guess it's different for everyone so there's no spoiler as such so I got a Zoya polish - which is great in that I love Zoya but bad in that I got a shade I'll never wear! Would be great if on the questionaire thingy they asked what shades you like. So that's a complete waste for me and off to Ebay.
A John Masters Organics foaming face wash which would be great but I hate rose :(
And a Santaverde hand cream which I havent tried as will be going to mum for xmas but happy with it
and 2 little sample tubes of a weleda body wash and a neals yard cream.
Gutted there there isnt the normal 20% off code for the brands in the box as would have bought a different Zoya and more handcream maybe but there was a code for a free mini stocking filler worth £10 when you spend £30 but I had a look and there wasnt anything in the stocking filler I'd want.

So I think I'dd give it another try in jan but as I said, I cant afford to get it every month so would prefer if it was every other or every 3rd month.

    Hope that helps someone!

My SSB was the same as above, except my contact lenses were blue. I have no idea why you'd send a blue-eyed person blue contact lenses, but I guess there must be a reason!
In all honesty, I was disappointed. The value of the SSB boxes seems to really be going downhill; a £1.25 bottle of nail varnish isn't exactly my idea of glamour (though the shade is nice).
The contact lenses scare me; I've tried to use coloured contacts in the past, and they folded up on themselves while they were on my eye, so I couldn't get them off. I might be more inclined to try these if they weren't the same colour as my eyes already.
I did like the Amie mask last time it was in the box so I'm pleased with that, and I'm always interested in trying new face creams.

SSB have also started doing the one thing that REALLY annoys me about beauty boxes; sending different things to different people. Looking on the 'sneak peek', I would have loved to have received the other products (facial oil, Bourjois 1 second nail varnish remover).
The inequality between boxes was the main reason I cancelled Glossybox, and it's definitely contributed to my decision not to renew my SSB.
just got back from a wekend away and so disapointed with the SSB box,not even a card about the stuff with it,the contacts will go straight in the bin with the tea bags :mad::mad::mad::mad:would have loved the nail varnish remover not a happy bunny def won't be renewing sub with them looks like stuff from a £1 shop :(:(:(:(:(

Wow, that sounds fantastic. I wonder what colour nail polish you got? I love wearing unusual colours, and like roses. It sounds like you received well in excess of the money spent. I'd love to subscribe but with christmas cannot.

If I can would love to take advantage of the vouchers to get some Neom bath oil, using the code in this months box. I also want to re-sub to Lux, as despite admin problems in the past have always been good boxes, and there is a 10% off code for the next box when subbing (or re-subbing).

Will consider the personalised box in the new year, but would like make-up and bath products mainly if possible. Were you asked what sort of products you were interested in?, as I currently have loads of cleansers, moisturisers, body creams, and face packs, etc although could use some toner.
New forum. New sig. Yes I still need to lose 2 stone!

I got 'Amanda' a beige pinky colour. I desperately want the gold sparkly one but not sure I can warrant buying after spending on the normal and personalised box this month :S

This is the link to the questionaire I filled in http://www.amarya.co.uk/amarya-personalised-beauty-box-questionnaire.html I never thought to say I wasnt a fan of rose or beige shades, maybe I'll do it again if I do get another box. So I guess fill in more information then they ask of is the best thing!

I've got a small sample of the oil from the normal box if you're interested? Are you on the FB swap group? Maybe we could see if we could get a swap going if we're both into Amarya type stuff?

I'd have preferred something brighter too, beige is boring. Thanks for the survey link.:) I'm not on the FB swap group unfortunately. I really must set up a FB account purely for comps, and swaps, etc.

Are there currently any beauty boxes for men?
I have seen info on Glossybox but I can't see how to buy it currently so did they finish it? or is it their website update that isn't finished (great time to do it before Xmas - NOT).

Their men's box was awful, you'd be better off taking a shoebox round a department store and collecting up your own samples!

Seriosuly, Gentleorange is right the men's box was utter poop!
There is even mention of it further back the thread. The first one I got for my brother was okish but not really worth the money and the one I got for my Dad made me want to cry I was so disappointed!

Re: SSB - has anyone not received theirs yet? I haven't seen hide nor hair of mine yet :-( xxx

Cheers - glad I asked here first for your advice, although I still didn't find any mens boxes.
  • Glossybox got rid of the men's box a while back. Guess it didn't sell well
