    I've been Money Tipped!
I've had my Amarya & LIB. Box today, along with several parcels of freebies that I begged companies for. I'm going to do a blog late tonight.

Thanks for telling me about the beauty swap group. I just requested to join and hopefully I'll be able to do a swap soon. I'm going to try and get some more of the Mischa Barton Body Butter that was in the SSB box a few months ago, I really like it and such a nice change from the sweet smelling Soap & Glory one I normally use.

Which one is the more active group? Not sure I joined the right one

i have swapped more on the open one and only being doing it about a week and have done lots of swaps.

Okay, so no Lux box (quelle surprise) but Amarya arrived and I want to give full marks to Mr Postie who managed to complete the Krypton Factor of rubble leading to my door and also find the new door which is in a different place! It was a bit like a Milk Tray advert but with a beauty box :rotfl:

I've changed my mind about the box about three times today (it is that time of the month) but I'll give you my current opinion
NEOM Sumptuous Rose & Neroli room/linen spray: neroli is my all time favourite essential oil and when I first sprayed this I though it was lovely. Unfortunately, after about 5 mins, all I could think of was an old lady's house or a nursing home :o.
In my old job I was in and out of various care homes and nursing homes and this really reminds me of the scented disinfectant they used mixed with old lady talc. I really WANT to like it but I'm struggling. My husband, who had a similar job to me and went to the same places, sniffed it and said "uurgh, that smells exactly like ******** special needs centre".
I've never tried any NEOM products before because they're prohibitively expensive and, sadly, this hasn't converted me

Cowshed Bath and Shower Gel: I haven't actually used it in the shower but I did wash my hands with it. The scent is not really my cup of tea, it's quite bland and ordinary and possibly a little masculine for my taste - however, I am aware that the strong smells that I like can often put other people off; I know that the Balance Me handcream has definitely divided people on this thread because it is strongly scented. The shower gel doesn't feel too drying but it isn't exceptionally moisturising either and my dry skin likes a bit of moisture! So I'll give this to hubby, it'll smell nice on him.

Pomegranate Active Night Plus Roller Ball: I've seen the Pomegranate brand knocking about but I've never really paid it much attention, so it will be nice to try something from their range. This is the full-sized product in August's box, even though it seems small.
The scent isn't knockout beautiful - it makes me think of candle shops - but it's nice and natural and the ingredients are all lovely.
I am currently obsessed with preventing my first wrinkle (I have been 28 years old for the last 4 years :rotfl: ) so any anti-ageing product is a big hit with me!

Santaverde Aloe Vera Hydro Repair Gel (trial size 5ml): I really, really liked the Santaverde Aloe Vera face wash so I'm looknig forward to using this. I think I'll save it for the next time my skin gets really dry though - at the moment, I'm all plumped and glowing and dewy from my REN routine (3rd week of Glycolactic mask followed by Detox mask and I'm very happy with the results)

Overall, I was underwhelmed when I opened my box but I think that may have been more to do with the fact that I'd just been told my kitchen sink wasn't going in until Monday - so that's 4 weeks now of having to buy bottled drinking water and washing up in the bath!

When I look at it objectively, I'm quite pleased to have had the NEOM spray because at least I won't fork out for a full-sized one and be disappointed. I have been tempted to treat myself when they've had offers on but now I know I can save my pennies.

The Cowshed wash will get used and the two skincare items are things I'm excited to try. So it isn't the best Amarya box ever but it suits my needs much better that the other beauty boxes around; PLUS you know you never have to worry about delayed dispatch with Amarya - that's the second month in a row that Lux is two weeks late. Not good at all.

Thanks, that's actually the one I requested to join but so far I'm not a member yet. I wonder how long it takes them to go through the requests.
