    Hi All,

Anyone know any deals going on LuxBox at the moment?

I would be interested in joining up to them, looks good. Have pple had good experiences with Luxbox generally?

I'm also interested in She Said boxes, but this month's doesn't look great! Maybe that means next month's will be fantastic though!

I quite like LuxBox, but they are rather slow at sending boxes out. I'm still waiting on the July box. They're also a little selective about replying to emails, and they tend to go quiet on Facebook when people have problems. So, customer service-wise, probably not the best.
I've been happy with the contents of the boxes I've had from them, but it's really about personal choice.
    They're worth a try, but I don't think I'd get a 6 month/1 year sub with them.

SheSaid are great though, yeah this month's box was rather underwhelming, but it's the first one out of 5 (I think) that I've not loved. I'd definitely recommend them. Their site is a lot easier to use than Lux's too when it comes to doing the reviews.

Does anyone have any verdict as to which they recommend?

Everybody's different. Amarya's my favourite (although not on your list :p), with Lux my second. :D

  • For those people who were jealous of Missli winning a very expensive hand sanitizer - LIB is doing an offer

*EXCLUSIVE OFFER* Save 50% on the stunning new anti-ageing hand sanitizer Renouve (it's a world first, natch) with code RENOUVE - simply enter at checkout. Plus you can choose which colour you want, pink or gold. www.latestinbeauty.com/lxs

Joliebox August boxes will be themed and you can find details on their blog. You have a couple of days to sign up if not already subscribed.

And my favourite box is Amarya followed by Lux/SSB.

She said is my favourite even though last months box was not that great, all other boxes I had have been excellent from them.

Glossy box can be the best for products for me but this seems to be alternative months, one month a great box the next the cheapo box.

Amarya is not great for me you only get normally 1 full sized product and then normally a few sachets. I don't always like what they send and feel disappointed when it's something I don't like, very hit and miss.

I have heard good thing about lux box and have signed up a few days ago so can't really have an opinion just yet.

Again Betrousse I have signed up for the September box as have had a look at the preview and there is a product I want to try. Very small company but supposed to be good so will wait and see.

Latest in beauty, can't really go wrong as you know exactly what you will receive and good value for money.

At the end of the day it depends on what you want.

  • Just a quick note about the spiral pins from ebay - mine came today, so if anyone else is still waiting for theirs to be delivered, they should be with you soon :D

I received my spiral hair pins a few day ago. I have no idea what to do with them. My hair is currently very thick, and unmanageable, unless in curls/wavy. I have to wet, tame, and put product in daily. Tiresome.

I desperately want to try wearing up, but have no idea how to manage it. Any style tips with those pins most welcome.

  • Missli - try Googling "spin pin tutorial" or "spiral hair pin tutorial" and you'll bring a fair few videos up.

I just use them exactly the way I would use a normal straight bobby pin - so for a french pleat, I just twist and roll my hair up, smooth the sides in and then twist the pins in on the loose edge. It takes about 5 or 6 spiral pins compared to the 30 straight pins I would otherwise use. Just use them in place of standard hair slides.

Just have a play about with them. Start with a bun to get used to twisting them in and then you can make up styles as you go along.
