Beauty Boxes (monthly subscription) DISCUSS HERE

Sorry Luce181 I forgot to add, if you sign up to SheSaid go through topcashback or quidco first, you might already know this but I just thought I should mention it!0

Luce181 - SheSaid has a 25% off code for your first box which should still be working - I tested it again last week to make sure and it went through okay.
The code is SSBLOVE25 and you enter the discount code AFTER entering your payment details. Don't panic if you think you've reached the end of the ordering process without getting a chance to use the code, it is the last thing you do
There is also a code for 20% off a 6 month subscription which is SSB6M20FF which expires in 6 days time.
Topcashback and Quidco both offer £4.04 cashback for a one month sub, up to £7.57 for a 12 month sub
Amarya is my favourite box because I only use natural products and because it gurantees at leat one full sized item each month. Sometimes this means that you get just one item in the box, which is great for me as I hate little sachets but some folk prefer lots of smaller items instead.
kt001 has explained the referral process perfectly
Beauty boxes really are a hit and miss affair so just sign up to whatever takes your fancy and remember that you don't need to have a rolling subscription if you don't want to. You can always cancel your subscription and then resub for just one box if it sounds interesting - like I've done with the elusive Lux box containing a foundation which may or may not arrive by Xmas :rotfl:Living with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0 -
Hi Purplebutterfly, I'm also subbed to LuxBox, although they're my favourite box for the products I really wish they would keep us updated more, even if they just gave us a postal date and stuck to it. They hardly ever seem to post on their own website, I get the impression it's a small family company and that they have other work/family commitments during the day. The trouble is in this economic climate it gets you worrying when you don't hear anything.0

Any tips for applying those sticky nail wraps? My Union Jack ones have arrived but they are really wide compared to my nails (so are the ones that came in Lux this month). Is there a trick to cutting them to the right size?Living with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0

Still no SSB (though not sure I'm missing much?). Just emailed them - any idea how good their replying skills are?0

Hi,
I like the look of the Lux box but how do you go about subscribing for one box if you like it? Wont I miss it if Im not subscribed the month before? Dont know if that makes any sense.0 -

Yes, you generally need to subscribe before the box is released and different boxes have different cut off dates. I apologise, I didn't really make it very clear in my earlier postI'll try to explain what I mean here.
example one: the spoiler
Sometimes it is possible to guess at what product or kind of products will be in a certain box.
This month, people were asked to choose their foundation shade for their Lux box and, by piecing the clues together, we worked out what this foundation would be. As a result people could subscribe before the cut off date.
Sometimes boxes give clues and hints out on FB about upcoming products, so that can also help you to pick and choose in advance. Often there are "themed" boxes advertised which also give you an idea of what might be in them
In some instances, beauty bloggers get their boxes a few days to a few weeks before us mere mortals, so you can actually check out the contents of an entire box and still have time to subscribe
example 2: the latecomer
Sometimes companies find that they have an excess of boxes after they have been posted out and you can then buy them after seeing what everyone else got. I've seen people on FB asking on the day of release whether there are any spare boxes and often they end up getting one.
Glossybox are currently selling the overspill from their July box as a one-off purchase, with no subscription (click HERE if you want one) and they've recently given away excess boxes from earlier in the year as part of a buy one get one free promo
So, technically, yes - you do need to be subscribed to definitely get your hands on a box on release day. However, if you miss one that you love the look of, all is not lost!Living with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0 -
