  • Thanks for the tip Purplebutterfly!
I got the Inika eyeliner in Peacock in a previous box - but can't forth life of me remember which one!
On its own it looks scary on me - very seventies lol. So will try it now over black - this will be good as I have loads of black but never wear them because black is too harsh for me!

Got my Amarya box today and I think I'm happy with it. Like purplebutterfly, I keep having differing opinions on it. My variations were:
Neom Refesh, which is lemon and basil. Haven't tried it yet, but this would have been the last one I would have picked as I'm not keen on basil. However, I think it might be ideal for the loo, so I'll try it out there!

My Cowshed product was Lazy Cow, which is jasmine, camomile and sandalwood. Thankfully, jasmine is not the overpowering scent. Overall it smells nice enough, so I'll be trying that out tomorrow.

Actually, I think I might have had the Pomegranate oil before, to test for the Beauty Bible, in which case it's ok but obviously didn't impress me enough to buy it.
  • THe following text contains replies to other people and discusses some parts of the boxes so I've hidden it.

Willowbee - I'm really pleased you like the Luxbox. I'll be honest - it isn't a terrible box but it just isn't for me. I don't ever want to put anyone off when I say I hate the boxes but I always want to be completely honest. It's really nice to have somebody come in on the other side of the argument with a bit of positivity though! I'm also glad you love your new REN products (not that I'm taking credit for the ASOS find because it wasn't me that posted)

Elegantly Wasted, I've had the same problem with lash fibres in the past and it really hurts when they get trapped in your contact lenses! I prefer mascaras with fibres built in like my lovely YSL one.

judyjetson - nice to hear I'm not the only one who keeps vacillating! Although, I used the Pomegrante oil last night and it seemed quite nice so I'll keep going with it.

snailsontour - I often blend various colours into my liner on top of a light black line. I'll have something deeper on the outer corner and then fade into a lighter, brighter colour further in. You can do it on the top lash line as well to give your eyes a bit of "pop".
Could you possibly put your text in white or in spoiler brackets hun? Just in case there are people who haven't had their box yet. Cheers sweetie

I received my Luxbox today. I had a product missing, but really like what was in there:
This is the first time I've actively liked a foundation. I picked a dark one 5 Alicia Keys, as I've gone really brown, and the colour blends in well. (In winter would be shade no: 4, JLo). Its £25 for a full-size but is something I'd be interested in buying, although would end up buying 2 shades for the different seasons. Not cheap, but it covers up blemishes without looking like I've got a mask on, and I nearly always look like I'm wearing a mask with foundation usually, so is a first for me.

I didn't receive any BB creams, but the samples are usually too pale.

The eyeliner is a beautiful shade. I've just got rid of a No7 that was a bit too turquoise, but this is a lovely shade of blue. Will take on board purplebutterfly's recommendation of using with black eyeliner, or just blend it in a bit. I love Inika make-up.

The Gatineau skin corrector looks like something I'll use, but currently still using REN, and Santaverde products. I still haven't finished my first 6 of the best, and have lots of products still to be used. So will go in my stash!:o:D

The Brush on lashes looks interesting, as I haven't got around to using any of my falsies yet, and bought the SSB eyelash curler off ebay. So if it doesn't irritate my eyes when wearing contact lenses, will be good to try.

Its always a good box for me. :T

    Hi Girls,

I've just been to the LuxBox website and have seen they are doing a Limited Edition box with 7 full sized products for £20 plus p&p. Thinking of doing this...have LuxBox ever done a Limited Edition box before? I saw this on the LuxBox site (it's not letting me post links as I'm a new user) if anyone's interested.

Would be interested in your views on whether to go for it or not. I bet it will be amazing though...hard to justify spending £23 on beauty items I don't know about in advance though...!

    Thanks,

    Judith
  • Thanks for that judy1010, the link is HERE but it is just on the Lux main homepage so not a special link or anything.

I'm giving it a miss - it's too much money for me because it will no doubt be full of creams and lotions that I can't use. It could be good though...................
