 I got my July Joliebox today:T. Not massively impressed with the contents though:(. I got (inwhite)

Etat Pur express purifying mask 50mL
wen (by Chaz Dean) sweet almond mint cleansing hair conditioner 60mL (never heard of this)
janet Iredale -tantasia about 10mL size (yup, another fake tan!)
mini Nail Girls nail polishes x 2 in gold and bronze colours
    toe saparators
Yardley Peony body wash (what a load of pants. !!!!!! Yardley?) This is touted as a bonus item to make up for last months debacle.

So Joliebox duly cancelled as I can't afford to be disappointed on this level again next month!
    Phew!

hiya, you gorgeous yummy mummy :hello:

How's little Ella getting on with life? I meant to ask, did you actually have clothes that fit her when she came home? I imagine a lot of teeny tiny babygros went back to Mothercare!

You just missed the cracking REN offer with free p&p but mine just got delivered (after moaning about it earlier) and I am seriously considering buying some more cloths and paying the p&p just for the free samples and the free kit.

The muslin cloths are definitely the nicest I've ever seen. They look like they'll last too, even after loads of machine washes.

Hmmmm, do I open another account and pay £8.40 for lots of lovely stuff? I wish I'd ordered two now but I didn't want to risk it in case they thought I was taking the p***. I'd already opened a new account alongside my existing one.

PoppyGirl - welcome to our happy thread! :j Pull up a chair, grab a cuppa and prepare to spend!!!

The boxes vary so much in quality each month that it is really hard to decide which one is "best" unless you have a specific concern ie Amarya is the only guaranteed all-natural box but other boxes have featured natural brands.

The best thing to do is use the websites of each box and look back through all of their previous boxes to get an idea of what each one has offered in the past. Last month's Joliebox was supposed to be an extra special birthday box so may not be representative of standard boxes - although Glossybox's "special" birthday box consisted of a normal box with a balloon and a mirror!

Most of the boxes have had problems with delivery times at some point or another (I think Amarya and Latest In Beauty are the only ones who don't have the problem of waiting for stock to come from the PR agencies) so we currently don't have much of an idea when boxes are due!

Check the first post on the first page of this thread for discount codes but also check FB and use Google because we've probably missed some. Some of the boxes also have a referral programme where you get a voucher or a free box if you sign up and give another subscriber's name as your referral link.

There is also cashback available on a couple of the boxes, which is good for trying out different ones.

Sorry I can't be more help - it really is a case of trying them and seeing if you are disappointed or not.

Lol! I peeked before realising was this months.

I haven't received mine yet, but will be my last if they honour where I put my account on hold. It sounds like I'm going to be extremely under-whelmed! :rotfl:

loobylou  I thought July's JB wouldn't arrive until November given the state of the last one :rotfl:

white: let me know what the WEN is like because I keep thinking I'll try it out and then changing my mind because I can't find it cheap anywhere - even ebay.

It's massively popular in the US and I saw a really long infomercial on TV one night with that lass from Little House On The Prairie advertising it.

It's supposed to make your hair really soft and silky because you only use a conditioner to clean it and not a shampoo. Not quite sure how that works but hey-ho. Plus it contains PEGs, parabens and silicones so it would normally be on my don't-touch-with-a-bargepole list...............but I am a sucker for glossy American adverts when i'm half asleep at 4am :rotfl:

I'm glad I only subbed to the birthday box - any more Yardley and fake tan in my house and I'll go crazy. At least there are no false eyelashes though!

purplebutterfly, re: swaps. I think you were very unlucky. I've been fine with the couple I've done, as reliable/decent people, but for me were just one-offs.

Perhaps might be best to put on ebay in future?

Aye, I'm not in a good mood anyway because of all the building work going on here - neither the landlady, the letting agency nor the builders seem to care that we are actually living here whilst they are turning off water and electricity etc without warning. Bad enough that our tiny kitchen is now being cut in half - there will literally be room for one person at a time and my tumble dryer can no longer go in there. No idea where it is supposed to go as they're cutting the room next to the kitchen in half with a "fire wall".

I would move but my health at the moment is not great and I can't deal with the upheaval. Plus, it is a nightmare trying to find places that allow pets and my cats always come first.

I'll give the swaps lass a few more days. I'm not bothered if she hasn't posted it yet, I just want her to tell me!

I just got this code emailed to me - EMERALDSTR for 10% off a first Glossybox

My REN parcel just came :) I'm looking forward to using it all. The cleansing gel was open at the top but for what I paid I'm not going to moan about that, I'll use it up.
