Wirelessman has put up another auction for me to buy some antennae, but I've already bought them. This one's slightly cheaper than before (£9 instead of £9.99)

Someone, please buy them from him.

Thanks for that, done. Fingers crossed you all get it up and running

1 of the screw haeads lok bad what should i do now i cant open the laptop shall i take it to pc world to do it what shall i tell then about the screws
  • Amit, if you use the wrong size screwdriver, the heads will get chewed up. My first lappy was easy to unscrew, but I had problems with one screw on the new one. Went down to a smaller philips and it came out. Used the type of philips you use on glasses. If you've chewed up one of the heads, I'm not sure what you're going to do. A smaller philips might still be able to get it out for you, but if you feel the head chewing up, stop! If worst comes to the worst, take it to a PC shop and get them to get the final screw out.

    Ref the Memory cover.

The screws to the memory cover on mine never went back in!! It's not like it is ever going to fall off is it? :D ..... Is it?

Screws neatly filed away with other bits relating to lappy. :)

Find a small, friendly, local PC place where you can throw yourself at their mercy and ask for a little help. Experience tells me you'll make a new friend. :)
