I went to Lidl this morning and they said these are a regional offer and South Yorkshire isn't one of those regions.Named after my cat, picture coming shortly0 -
Right - updated the drivers for the wifi card and the realtek AC97 thingy. Not sure what to do about the memory warning, though. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

Anyone know if the mini pci card will go in my laptop without causing problems? It's sitting on my desk as I type, screaming at me not to install it because it's meant for use with Intel Celeron M processors (or so the leaflet says). In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

It should work fine, just attach a couple of antennas to it and shove it in. Dont go to the trouble of setting the wires into the laptop just in case it dosent work (ie leave the antennas just dangling and see what its like reception wise)

Report back matey
Cheers for that - now to go buy some antennae
won't be able to report back until next weekend, though, as I'm off to Hungary on Monday. Can't think of anywhere that sells antennae around here, so will have to buy them off ebay.
Haven't crashed since updating the wifi card and realtek drivers. Still think it could be dodgy ram, though. Definitely a problem with my wifi card too.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

Thanks. I found another seller with antennae (his postage was cheaper, too), so bought from him. Sent a little message with my paypal payment asking if he could post the antennae tomorrow, as I need them urgently. With any luck, I'll have them by Saturday, before I go away.
The PB has not crashed in over 9 hours now. Hopefully, the updated drivers sorted it out. Keeping my fingers crossed, though. Oddly enough, the fan isn't coming on as much now.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

OK, spoke too soon (again). System crashed again and refused to reboot. Took the PC World ram out and it booted up without problems. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
