I got my Intel 2200B/G wireless card yesterday in the mail, and this morning the internal antenna arrived (smaller than I expected). I'll fit it tonight and hopefully be up and running in time for the weekend. No problems at all with the laptop so far! (fingers crossed)

Hey, where did you get the antenna from Steve? Was it that seller on ebay? Can't wait to find out the results on reception. speed etc.
If there is any chance you could take a pic of the card and antenna in place and post it on here you'll get my thanks :-)Hardcore moneysaver0 -

Wirelessman has put up another auction for me to buy some antennae, but I've already bought them. This one's slightly cheaper than before (£9 instead of £9.99)

Someone, please buy them from him.
Laptop's still freezing overnight, but I think it's due to extra pressure on the mini pci card working without antennae. I've disabled the pci card for now and am leaving the laptop running to see if it still freezes. Still, it's an improvement on total crash and refusal to reboot afterwards. Seriously considering doing a complete reformat and reinstallation of everything when i get my antennae, as I think the OS has suffered far too many crashes. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

Amit, make sure you're using the exact correct size philips screwdriver, else you'll !!!!!! up the screw heads. You'll need to force the cover off once you've taken the screws out because it's held in by tiny clips. Wiggle it about and it should come off.
By the way, don't forget that we have a "thanks" button now!In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
