Anyone figure out how to uninstall Norton??? I thought I knew a lot about PC's but this is troubling me! I wanna install my own antivirus but there is no Norton in Add/remove or an uninstall link in the programs menu.

Sound slike the uninstall program is corrupted. have you tried reinstalling then uninstalling? If or else failed up Tweakui to remove Norton from add/remove if its still there. Then use regedit and remove all references to Symantec and then delete symantec directory, thats assuming you aint got any other symantec programs installed. Aslo check this this folder for removing symantec fiels

I dont think the uninstall program is corrupt, I just think its designed so you cant get rid of the damn thing! Just deleting the the directory and registry is gonna cause all sorts of mayhem.
Thanks for your reply though!!!!!!!Hardcore moneysaver0 -
