3dogs just wanted to say thank you for your updates each day like others have said you both have been and continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. I'm so sorry for you both that the news for Alan was not so positive today but I think with both of your positive attitudes he will be able to make the most of the time ahead.
From experience my mum has surprised us all, if you had seen her recovering from her diagnosis of seconday cancer and then couple years later from spinal surgery which originally they had ruled out, you would not have expected to still see her with us today. But she takes each day as it comes and we have enjoyed some precious moments. I hope you and Alan get the chance to. Mum has the community cancer nurses visit and they are an amazing team, I'm sure you and Alan will find them a godsend in many ways.
Look after yourself, big hugs to you both x0 -
3dogs - sorry to hear the news wasn't better today, you and Alan are truly amazing in the way you are dealing with this with such strength and positivity - you're an inspiration :A Thinking of you xxErm I'm not sure if I've got the hang of this money saving.....I seem to be spending more money buying 'bargains' that I don't really need - oops!!0

Luckily we are staying virtually on the border - in a cottage near Morwellan Quay so very very close to Cornwall
In the past, Mr 3Dogs have holidayed in Cornwall in cottages year after year, and also had a timeshare at St Mellion for 10 years in the 1980/90's, so we do know the area very well, but our friends haven't been before, so we will be showing them around the two glorious counties
:j :j :j At least you can have some proper food over 'ere!! :rotfl:Best cornish pasty? Gorgeous one from Bodmin centre eaten up on the moor on a fantastic hot day? Or the Pasty shop/farm shop on the road up from Saltash to St Mellion ....... normal cornish pasties, plus fruit ones too - we used to go down from St Mellion with an order for all the golfers when I used to organise a golf week for about 40 of our golfing friends. Lovely memories ...... oh, and the Holland Inn on that road too, near Saltash, lovely carveriesAs it has been over 15 years since we have been down there  we are looking forward to trying them all again
Carvery at the Victoria Inn Threemilestone nr Truro is also worth a look. Hungry now!!Gwrys yn Kernow! :j0 -

I can only hope that should I ever have to go through anything like this I can deal with it the way you two have, you're an inspiration.
Sir Frequent {{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}} You are very much appreciated! And your post always make me smile! And of course, you are the Knight of the Aisle :beer:0 -

Finally caught up:jMorning all!!
Just breathed a sigh of relief! Youngest got in to the primary school we were after (The same as her older siblings) There is such a shortage of places here at the moment I was quite concerned she may not get in, but got the confirmation email
I have soooo much to do but no time and even less enthusiasm to do it!! Hope everyone has a good day and :grouphug: to all those who need them.
xxxx
How'd you find out so early? I have to wait until April 27th to find out which primary school for my oldest DSanyone got any idea how to get rid of tooth ache?
i had a filling done in movember because the majority of my tooth was missing and it took the pain away but for last week its been hurting like crazy so think the filling has slipped or something
i been puttin oothpaste on it which was working but now i cant get rid of the pain and its soooooo bad
i dont have any painkillers would it work to put cotton wool there or anything?
Orajel and the colgate sensitive pro-relief toothpaste are the best i've used for toothache, both have worked quite quickly for me in past.0
