3Dogs I don't know how you are both dealing with your awful situation so well. Your posts always amaze me by both your and Mr 3Dogs' strength and perserverence to 'carry on regardless'.
If there were more people in this world with half the spirit and determination that you both demonstarate, it would be a much stronger, happier place.
I'm sorry you got such bad news today, but I'm in awe of the pair of you for the way you deal with everything life throws at you. Nice to hear you have some holidays planned, enjoy yourselves. Devon is lovely, (but Cornwall is lovlier!!!
).
All my very best wishes are with you both. xx
Luckily we are staying virtually on the border - in a cottage near Morwellan Quay so very very close to CornwallIn the past, Mr 3Dogs have holidayed in Cornwall in cottages year after year, and also had a timeshare at St Mellion for 10 years in the 1980/90's, so we do know the area very well, but our friends haven't been before, so we will be showing them around the two glorious counties
3Dogs I'm so sorry that you didn't have some better news today.
As always you seem to be bearing everything life throws at you with the greatest fortitude....I honestly don't know how you do it. :A
I hope that Mr 3Dogs continues to recover from the operation so that he is able to enjoy whatever time he has left.
I wish you both a wonderful holiday in Devon.....it's a beautiful county....not that I'm biased or anythingWhere are you staying?
Thinking of you both xx

Or you could try Aqueous cream (can buy a big tub from Boots, or try the smaller tube to start with) which can be used with water as a soap substitute. I use it as even simple soap makes my face sensitive and sore.
I second the Aqueous Cream comment ... als I was told by a doctor that Simple soap is far from *simple* and should be avoided.0 -
I agree
and his wife's no better. Might need to ask the hitman for a 3 for 2 offer.
Sorry everyone but it has brought a lot of old family tension to the fore again.
sad to say his would be my son.
daughter would want nothing but a few momentoes money means nothing to her...he would be rubbing his hands together in glee
hub is so worried in case he goes first and i am bullied into giving it all awayNumber 35 :j0 -

Tricia89, I used to use oil of cloves, my teeth were so bad I took so many pain killers I became immune to them and overdosed more than once. I tried every trick in the book so as not to go to a dentist, I had a really phobia. I ended up being put to sleep and having every 1 of my teeth taken out because the had become so bad. It was a bit extreme but we wanted ivf and I couldn't eat enough to sustain a pregnancy.september wins - toshiba laptop, timotei shampoo & conditioner, mccains games, pimms picnic blanket.

Although every group should have a whipping boy or in this case a slapping guy, I agree that Frequent deserves a hug and a little respite from his beatingsBUT Cornwall is beautiful-er!!Feel free to pop over the border for a proper pasty and and a cream tea done the right way!! (Be quick for your pasty though or you'll pay a fine for wanting it warm! )
Best cornish pasty? Gorgeous one from Bodmin centre eaten up on the moor on a fantastic hot day? Or the Pasty shop/farm shop on the road up from Saltash to St Mellion ....... normal cornish pasties, plus fruit ones too - we used to go down from St Mellion with an order for all the golfers when I used to organise a golf week for about 40 of our golfing friends. Lovely memories ...... oh, and the Holland Inn on that road too, near Saltash, lovely carveriesAs it has been over 15 years since we have been down there  we are looking forward to trying them all again
