Happy Birthday to.. everyone by the way. :D

I know I don't know you all as well but for what it is worth you are lovely people. May your lives be touched by the goodness and generosity you all so readily share and enriched by people as lovely as yourselves.

And Queen of Cheap, I know I missed yours so a belated Happy Birthday and may you use the day's wisdom you have attained to get the most from the coming year. :D

    Afternoon all
Just a quickie from me to say that my daughter had a baby girl in the early hours of this morning.
Baby is doing fine but mum not so good at the moment.
It was a home birth and was really quick and easy but the placenta wouldn't come away and she lost a lot of blood.
I had a call at 4am to ask if I could get there ASAP but I live 10 miles from them so it was a mad dash! I got there just as my daughter was being driven away in the ambulance with a paramedic car in attendance too
So I didn't get chance to see her or my new grandaughter, but my SIL said she has masses of dark hair. She weighed in at 8lbs exactly and they are calling her Freya

I've been all morning cleaning carpets, sofa's, rugs, and I've still not removed all traces of blood.
At hospital Michelle was given an anaesthetic and the afterbirth was removed but her blood pressure is really low and they are monitoring here to see if she needs a transfusion.
Other than that...everything is fine. :T

Oh my goodness, you've had one traumatic night:(Congratulations on baby Freya:T:T:T and I'm sure your DD will be fine, they are both in the best place :)Trouble is us mums never stop worrying even when their grown up;)

marks and spencer valmont rose 2010 french wine £23.42 for 2 cases delivered discounts at checkout are 50% wine clearance and 25% of two cases if french wine

Huge thanks for this. I ordered 4 cases, 24 bottles and the final bill was £41. Delivery was £3.50 but I has a £2 MOC code that worked, no extra points but I did go through Topcash.

Its coming on Monday, just have to find somewhere to hide it as my OH oticed that I'd started hoarding wine again - we dont even drink that much now :D

Just need to increase my cat food and washing liquid hoard now

District Nurse has been coming around 11.30am but none today so I rang them at 3pm and they rang back to say he'd disappeared off their system somehow  but sorted out now and nurse came shortly after her call

I have been doing some work in the garden this afternoon too. finished weeding and tidying the 'patio' and trimming back the blackberries & raspberries, before nipping down to the auction where Alan got a lovely welcome from the porters, lots of shaking of hands and hugs   We had a little look around and then went to Aldi for some Ecozone Ecoballs - has anyone on here tried them? I've been using them for almost a year now since Alan found some in a lot he bought from auction and they are great. Use one, or two if more soiled, and you don't need the rinse cycle as no soap to rinse out, and they say you don't need fabric conditioner as the balls leave a freshness to your laundry, but I still use comfort/lenor pure to stop static build-up. You save a fortune on laundry products :money: :money: but you'd have to use up your stashes first :rotfl: :rotfl: Aldi have them for £5.99 at the minute, and you get two balls, 2 bags of refill 'beads' plus a tube of stain remover, and they do 150 washes per ball, so they are great value :money: :money: :money: :money: I highly recommend them ............. and don't forget the 'saving the planet' bit too ;);)

Anyway we then popped to the chippy and off home. Alan said that walking around yesterday did tire him out more than he'd thought but he still wants to get out every day for at least an hour, so tomorrow we are just going to pop down to the car boot cafe for a while, maybe have lunch there. I did suggest that he come to Mr T's with me one day as I would push him round in the wheelchair, but he said oh no, he wasn't up to that yet ;););) :rotfl:

It has taken me ages to catch up on here tonight   I thought we had another glitch ........ spoons? Lots of sad messages but so many informative and supportive replies, as always with the Elite 11+ :T :T :T :T Hope you find the 'right' words to say FloFlo :D and that they find out why the little boy is not eating Snap-ant and get him to take some food in :(

I am off to bed now so goodnight you kind folk - sleep well :A

afternoon 3dogs....glad Mr3dogs is feeling a bit better - you'll soon have him in Ts, I'm sure!! ;)

I use the ecoball thingies...they're great....but having 2 young kids who are on any given day covered in food/paint/pen/mud/grass stains etc, I do still use detergent too...but only half the recommended amount.....so my 25 wash bottles of Persil and 40 tablet Bold bargains last me twice as long!!! We worked out that we have over 3 years worth of wash powder/liquid/tablets which havent cost us very much at all!!!

The balls work brilliantly, and if I'm just washing normal clothes (ie, not really dirty kids stuff!) then I just use the balls alone! The only downside is when one gets stuck in the duvet cover corner....takes ages to find it and get it out!!! :rotfl:
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!
