Congratulations
Oh that's lovely and I'll tell Michelle. I think she just liked the name. It will be nice to have at least one "lady" in the family :rotfl:My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -
Afternoon all
Just a quickie from me to say that my daughter had a baby girl in the early hours of this morning.
Baby is doing fine but mum not so good at the moment.
It was a home birth and was really quick and easy but the placenta wouldn't come away and she lost a lot of blood.
I had a call at 4am to ask if I could get there ASAP but I live 10 miles from them so it was a mad dash! I got there just as my daughter was being driven away in the ambulance with a paramedic car in attendance too
So I didn't get chance to see her or my new grandaughter, but my SIL said she has masses of dark hair. She weighed in at 8lbs exactly and they are calling her Freya
I've been all morning cleaning carpets, sofa's, rugs, and I've still not removed all traces of blood.
At hospital Michelle was given an anaesthetic and the afterbirth was removed but her blood pressure is really low and they are monitoring here to see if she needs a transfusion.
Other than that...everything is fine. :T
Congratulations on your new granddaughter, hope your daughter is back on her feet soon.september wins - toshiba laptop, timotei shampoo & conditioner, mccains games, pimms picnic blanket.

My eldest had her graduation in the minster and it was fantastic so much so she went on to do another degree and do it all again 2 years later! Are you York uni or YSJ?
The graducation gown and hat are not too expensive to hire but the official photos are expensive plus we got a holiday flat for the night before graduation, cheaper than hotel rooms and had a huge family dinner. So start saving now!
Mine was YSJ and she has stayed in York, living, working and loving
Sounds great, thanks for the tips! I'll start a little tin and pop something in it from time to time.Teacher training, so it's YSJ. York is a lovely place to live, I know it quite well and am getting to know it better, hope your daughter's enjoying being there.

Just back from leaving my cousin off with her new dog, we picked him up at the pound this afternoon. He's a collie/husky cross and is so friendly. He'd been in since 30 Jan and is now making himself at home in the kitchen and back garden.
He's met the bunny next door and doesn't think much of him :rotfl: but likes the little girl on the other side. He'll be off for a walk shortly to meet my cousins DD from school.
All I can say is he'll be loved and ave a great home.SPC #329 £471/£500 banked

My dad had been getting these really bad pains in his side so went to the doctor who sent him for a scan last week, he then got a phone call on Friday to say the wanted to see him back, so he's just been back this morning and there's a mass on his pancreas and they're now trying to rush him for a CT scan. We're from a small town, which means Glasgow is the nearest place that does them which is a couple of hours away. They're hoping to get him in by the end of the week. I know we'll not know anything for sure until he gets this scan, but I'm so scared for him. It was my Mum who called to tell me,because he was upset. My Dad isn't the greatest talker iykwim and I can't quite bring myself to call him, because he didn't want my Mum coming home from work, so can't imagine he'll really want to talk to me, don't mean that in a bad way though. Such a horrible feeling.
Sorry to go on, just had to get that out
You've posted in the right place here, as you should know. You will get all the support, advice and (((hugs))) you need, and I should knowAt least, once he's had the CT Scan they will be able to identify the problem and treat it - hope it all goes well hun :A
afternoon 3dogs....glad Mr3dogs is feeling a bit better - you'll soon have him in Ts, I'm sure!!
I use the ecoball thingies...they're great....but having 2 young kids who are on any given day covered in food/paint/pen/mud/grass stains etc, I do still use detergent too...but only half the recommended amount.....so my 25 wash bottles of Persil and 40 tablet Bold bargains last me twice as long!!! We worked out that we have over 3 years worth of wash powder/liquid/tablets which havent cost us very much at all!!!
The balls work brilliantly, and if I'm just washing normal clothes (ie, not really dirty kids stuff!) then I just use the balls alone! The only downside is when one gets stuck in the duvet cover corner....takes ages to find it and get it out!!! :rotfl:
I know what you mean, those balls get everywhere    :eek:Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12
