morning guys
boys are feeling better today, sun is shining, question is do i carry on with my mission to clear 12 years of clutter or do i take them to T's and pick up the hot chocolat eggs??:p:DI wish I could - it is too raw, I would feel like I am bringing the thread down, burdoning everyone with my problems when everyone has their own.
I know people post on here about things in their lives - whatever they may be - and they always get support - it's one of the thing's I like about it (and the drivel thread) but I am not there, I want to be.
I would like to be 10 years down the line from now and be the one who says "I don't forget but I can live with it as time has made it easier"
Or even better to this time last year when everything was ticking along nicely

MASSIVE APOLOGIES to those who were upset by the discussion last night, I agree some of you and your families have had some horrific experiences. I am not really sure what to say, I merely wanted to point out that the majority of those of us that work in the NHS try to do our best for little reward and against increasing beaurocracy and red tape and targets to meet. The vast majority of us are out there to help:Amymerrywidow wrote: »celebrate are you saying that dr's are getting stick for refering too many patients, so are reluctant to refer them? if so this would make sense to a situation i know of, but wont go into details.
In a word yes (but you didn't hear it from me:A)

I know but I seriously think he eats the flipping paper:eek:But I also know you know what I mean;) We've just worked out his student loan and no way with the best will in the world is it going to cover everything and if he passes everything and gets to Cambridge they literally ban them from getting a job during term time. But on the plus side Lala gets to go to the Cambridge parents Garden Party on his first day:T:T
The thing that gets me is, they never want the cheap stuff, do they? Bloomin' prima donnas! :rotfl:
I'm looking forward to graduation in the Minster in two years time, with the bishop and everything. A hat may be called for!Hope is not a strategy.0 -

Morning all!
Happy birthday Caz.
Hope you're feeling better Calmspirit.
Mini moan - Why do people offer things for free on some sites then when you go to see it they want cold hard cash!!!
Went yesterday to pick up a few things for my cousins new flat that she'd been offered free for them to turn round, after she'd seen them and was really pleased to be given (so much so that she'd bought a few bottles of wine, flowers and chocs for each person), for them to then turn round and demand a lot of cash for the item. One case was a very old washing machine that needed repairs (about £50's worth of work needed) the guy asked her for £100!!! Each and every person asked for some money for the items that they had offered her for free even though they were going to take them to recycling centre so she just told them to do that because she didn't have anything to give them cash wise.
We reported a few of them to their freegle/freecycle/greencycle groups for asking for cash.
The worst one had to be a guy offering his dog for free on Gumtree, she turned up, fell in love with the dog for him to say there had been a mistake on the ad and he would be looking £40 for her so he knew she wouldn't be used as a bait dog, my cousin was happy to pay this because she was spayed, chipped and vaccinated but he said his GF wanted to say goodbye and would we be able to call back today to pick her up. That was fine so we left her and aranged to pick her up at 12pm today, since then the guy has phoned and texted every 30 mins changing the price, the terms and when we can pick her up. At the moment he's looking £300 for her so we had to tell him she coulldn't afford that and to sell her to the supposed guy who's willing to pay that for her. We're leaving at 10.30am to go to the pound and see if they have anything suitable for her and her partner. I hope she finds something because they have been deciding whether to get one for a while and now that her hours at work are sorted she knows there will be someone with the dog 24hrs a day.
Sorry for the longer rant than I thoughtSPC #329 £471/£500 banked
SPC 2014 £1100:D
