  • i don't do DTD :)

so that means i can complain for the way i was treated. i hate to think that the people that do DTD will have to put up with this sort of behaviour.

When they change the policy I might write a book.. "Memoirs of a DTD'er"......crikey I could tell you some tales!!!

Well done with the snags, I missed this one but have a freezer full of the darn things as it is!!

The blanket which scans at 8 quid odd is in a white(ish) box. The one that scans for 3 quid odd is in a red/orange box.

I found quite a few tonight but couldnt be bothered to buy them to be honest.

Thanks FK :) think it was a pale blue box, these were the only leccie blankets they had :( may try elsewhere tomorrow
Handle every stressful situation like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it ....... just pee on it and walk away.

    Considering position..how much do I earn ?

What am I making noise about ?

    Not getting 20p off something...

Is 20p off worth risking against a potential £250 dtd ?

Someone's employers would take a dim view of such activities...

Sorry don't mean to sound unhelpful.

Not everyone is a raving DTD'er. Plenty of people are happy to get a few whoopsies and reduce their grocery bill with a few coupons. Some of these SA's really do act like they were trained by the gestapo. It's not on mate, sorry.

I did get me one double. I have a single bed here but the single blankets are a bit small and only cover the middle bit of the bed. For £4.75 I thought the double would cover the bed better.

Will report back on it next winter! :D

    Wheres your pics, French Knicks?

Or where they that bad you didn't post?

    Wasn't happy with them!

Did you see the long exposures I posted up before? They were amazingly spot on.......the panasonic had a night mode which you could set for 15s, 30s or 60s. No ideas how it did it but they almost always came out spot on. Tack sharp and stunning colours and contrast. Just bung it on a wall or other solid object and voila it was done.

The Fuji is awful as its night tripod setting sets the ISO to auto and you can imagine it ramps the iso up instead of allowing you to force it to 100 and letting the shutter speed lengthen.

Tried it on full manual mode but mixed results. It will produce good pics but once again its gonna need hard work.

I "think" the panasonic used some kind of internal filter for the night mode, to help with long exposures, but on manual mode, ISO100, Aperture at the highest setting, and play with your shutter speed depending on the conditions. I have just bought an ND8 filter from 7dayshop for a couple of quid to help with long exposures, but the most I have done so far is just with DD LED spinning toy, although the are quite cool.

I'll have a further play and see how I get on.

I felt pretty ropey today so perhaps didnt really have the patience to properly mess around. i got frustrated too easily and gave up I think.

Having said that......the panasonic WOULD have delivered the goods. I reckon the fuji is gonna have to work hard to match the pana when it comes to the quality of long exposure night shots.

The one thing I'll give the fuji, its forcing me to up my game and learn my technical stuff!
  • bought some sausages tonight/this morning and will collect my DTD at 8am sharp :) (I typed in 3 bags reused  so I might get trouted, but my excuse - needed a separate bag for each pack;);))
