To be honest, I think MMW has helped quite a few people on here so I think her heart is in the right place. Then she posted a nasty comment which, I hope, she regrets. Let's hope MMW apologises to Lady Leenie on here and then we can all put it behind us. x

    Evening elite breadmakers, :p

Just a late pop-in tonight. Not been well today. :( Still managed to go to T's though as Mrs OB had a day off. :D

Hello to all new lurkers; hugs to all who need them.

We got our 10,000 CC points confirmed this morning; they'll be on our May statement. My wife is so chuffed with me. :o

Stocked up with bread mixes today; all vouchers scanned no problem (with SA's hand scanner). SA was lovely, no pobs at all. "How many coupons here?"
    "12!" :D
    "How many bread mixes?"
    "Err, 12!" :D
"No problem, looks like a good deal."
Love it when you get a nice SA.

Made 2 different loaves so far:

Last night, a Ciabatta, made by hand; mixing it nearly killed me. 1 pack will easily make 4 smallish loaves, or 2 largish. Maybe gave it 3 minutes too long in the oven, but it was lovely. :D

Tonight, a Parmesan and Tomato, made in our Morphy Richards bread machine (had this for donkey's years). Made a full 2 pound loaf, and it is GORGEOUS! I kid you not. :D

    Early night tonight.

    Love you all.

    OB

there, I've now got myself crying again :(

((((Hugs SpiralingDown))))) What a terrible thing for your so called 'friends' to do :( You've already had it so hard, it really shouldn't have been down to them to make it even harder. You're a truly lovely lady and deserve a lot more respect than that :AChin up chicken, you've got our support and friendship on here whenever you need it :Axxxx

Looks yum! :beer:Did you make it by hand?

I bought 14 today and used 13 coupons, 2 small price checks and total to pay - 15p!! Am giving half away as they are pretty much free anyway.

I wonder, is anyone brave enough to spend £40 next week just on bread mix and pay for it all with coupons to get the £5 off £40 spend? I may give it a go and choose my SA VERY wisely!

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'm seriously considering it! Well maybe not just bread coupons but some SSM couponed Fairy washing up liquid too ;):D
well..the thing is, she was rather rude to me. I dont expect them to be polite, but there is no need to be rude.

also, she tore my two coupons up before shoving them back at me, and i think that is completely out of order.

and best of all, when i asked the SA to void the two bread while i check with HO, she told me not to waste my time and HOs time, as what i am doing is fraudulent, illegal, etc. she ended by saying that what i am doing is no different from shoplifting. i managed to smile at her and explained to her the meaning of the words fraudulent, illegal, fraud, and shoplifting.

i was really peeved off by her attitude,..so i shall call and complain about her tomorrow.

:mad::mad: That's completely out of order. I'd too be disgusted with such behaviour, definitely phone HO, there's no way this treatment should be allowed. How utterly humiliating for you penniesforme!! Sending hugs, hope you're ok :Axxx

the customer is not always right

and raise your head above the parapet

    do understand your viewpoint

ought to consider the bar here...

customer is not always right, but in this instance, what the SA did is plain wrong. who gave her the authority to rip my coupon up. As far as i am concerned i gave the coupon to her, and she refused to accept it as a form of payment. it is still my property and that is wilful & criminal damage to my property, albeit being damage to a piece of paper.

if keeping a low profile/keeping my head under the parapet means that i will tolerate this kind of behaviour, then my head will be high and above the parapet.

I think if that were me, I would be calling HO, but at the checkout, after reminding her what the words means, would ask her if she is so much of an expert on these subjects why she wasn't a barrister, solicitor or even a PC instead of being sat behind a checkout. Make her feel like carp after calling you a criminal.

(And before you start, I've sat behind a till, my FIL was a Store Manager for a supermarket for 30 years, and know that it is a hard job, but nothing wrong with returning the put down)

i dont tend to stoop to their level, unless there is a need to do so.

Back home now, we got 4 packs of sausages but as the wife didn't realise how much the dtd was she didn't question the sa when they put a refund of £13.18 back on the card.
How the sa come to that figure God only knows

    Price 4 x 2.19 = 8.76
    Charged 4 x 4.39 = 17.56
    Difference £8.80
    Dtd should have been £17.60
So they owe me £4.42, do I phone ho in the morning , go back to the store or just leave it ?

We did manage to get a few good meat whoopsies around 70% off, doesn't happen very often at this store as it usually goes as soon as they reduce it by 10%.
And the icing on the cake, the bus was running very late so the bus driver let us on for nothing :)

hello..i might be a little bit late for this glitch but what sausage is this? the only nearest tesco to me is an hour bus ride away and im accompanying my son to the hospital there so might as well grab the chance to buy this.. TIA
