Friendship should be a source of strength, not a drain on it. If they've got any sense then they'll show you the love and attention you deserve, anyone would be lucky to have a friend like you :Axxx
I've been in the same boat as you, I have one friend who never contacts me, it's always me doing the running. I'm the one that rings her up, goes over for coffee (with my 2.5 yr old in tow) and I work p/t. Yet she doesn't work, no kids only dogs and potters round the house all day so lots more time than me. I did an experiment to see if she would contact me... a month passed before i even got a text and that was only cos my OH had told her OH i was preggers. A friend can be for a year, or ten years. try not to stress about it,. As another wise soul on here said earlier, friends come in and out of our lives - it makes it easier to accept when you look at it that way. (((((hugs)))) to you Kadison xxTiger

Also, can i ask, does anyone know if these freeze well?
TIA
Hi
Each week T has been putting a few of the Rustlers items on offer for £1 - last week was the wraps, this week the subs, so with the BOGOF voucher 50p each in T.
But these have been full price in S, so if you spend £20 there, you get the difference back on branded items. Eg, (check my figs for yourself as I'm not too good on quick sums) buy 10 chicken subs for £19.90 and a pint of milk. Use 5 bogof vouchers, you will pay approx £10 and get a BM voucher for approx £10 back for the next round.
Not sure if they freeze - did have a look on the pack but was undecided. Would be interested to know this as voucher finishes end of this month.0 -
Morning all. Dont post often enough.
1 stew made with whoopsied steak and special offer stew pack from T's
1 loaf of bread resting. This was so easy to make that I am going to print some more vouchers off and get some more.:j
DD coming home from uni today for 4 weeks, cant wait.:T
Row with DH at how much time I spend on that bleeping forum. Told him if it wasnt for you guys he wouldnt have sky tv and days out as we are struggling financially due to me being off work on long term sick. So told him to s*d off.:rotfl:
Go for it Jam , I must admit that out of the limited bread mixes we've used the Wrights has popped out the best (maybe the cost has something to do with it) , it's less spongey than a sponge , tastes great and fills hungry bellies .I was young once , now I get older all the time .0 -
Morning all! I think I will never be able to keep up!! Had 30 pages to read this morning, gave up after 10 Im afriad!
Sad day for me today - one of my best friends wrote on Facebook her husband died this morning. Their kids are 18 and 11I want to go and console her but feel I will make her worse! I really dont handle death very well! I had a half brother die when I was 12, my dad died when I was 16 and my mum when I was 23 (as well as others like we all do) and I just dont seem to cope with it too good.
(On a slightly different note - is it just me or does it seems facebook is the way to find out bad news! Three weeks ago my family decided to tell me on facebook my grandmother had died. No wonder most phone providers are happy doing unlimited texts for cheap - no one texts anymore they all write it on a status on facebook instead!)0 -

when i went to book, because i was using tesco tokens they put the cost up £800. so it actually cost me money this way if you take into account i could have spent them at face value. so i booked a virgin holiday instead which was a better deal. because of the value of the tokens i was advised to send them by special delivery at £5.54. another rip off, as there is no way to use the holiday tokens online or over the phone. they must be sent.
still the good outcome is i can now see my daughter getting married in antigua. shhh she dont know we are going to be there.
I think that it has always been 'brochure' price for the tesco vouchers as opposed to the 'special offers' from the company.
When I booked our holiday to Cuba a couple of years ago, I rang Virgin direct and not the number that t said that you have to ring.;);)
After we'd discussed what we wanted, extras etc etc (it took ages, the operator was trying to bump up the cost as hard as she could!). I already knew that I wanted upgraded flight seats, upgraded accommodation (beach side, sea view, extras in room), excursions etc and knew exactly how much it would cost at their offer price (significantly less then the t price). After she had taken our details etc she siad that the cost would be .....
I said that I was using the holiday vouchers and she said that I should have phoned the dedicated number. I told her when I had got thro on that number, the operator hadn't been helpful (well, the cost that she'd quoted for using the vouchers was offensive) and despite repeating the spelling of my surname, she couldn't seem to grasp that there was a 'D' in there - making me feel that I couldn't spell my own name! So that's why I have phoned you direct as I thought you would be more helpful.
Ok, no problem, I am so sorry that you've been inconvenienced by having to make a second call.
Then she proceeded to take down the voucher numbers..:j:j
Don't know if it will work now but perhaps worth a try. I phoned on VH's 01293 number - not the 08 number.

I'm feeling really good today and wanted to say a big thankyou to all of you - I think the training is beginning to pay off:D
I did a big shop yesterday and the total spend was £76.75, and I paid £45.05. Not as good as some of the masters but getting there don't you agree? I am well happy:j:j DH smiling too!:D (Was especially pleased as I had wrangled my way through a very full trolley park to womble a £9 off £60 spend.) I got a till spit for a fiver off the next £40 spend, and wombled another on the way back to the car:rotfl: (One question: Is the pleasure I feel normal??!!)
Now I've just got to practise keeping the shopping total nearer the conditional spend total, as I could have used £15 of this on the next £40 shop! Still, I am getting better at this so Thankyou all again!! :T:T:beer::T:T
Kadison - have had similar issues with friends. Someone then told me that some people only come into our lives for a certain time, rather than for always. It didn't stop me feelng hurt but it made it more bearable/bareable (spelling is rubbish!!:)) Hope you feel better soon, and concentrate on your other friends.
I know what you mean I got a £68.57 shop down to £36.52 ... but I was getting so confused with BOGOFs and coupons I wasn't sure of how much it would all come to ... so I bought 2 pairs of toddlers shoes (2 x £8 = £16) to make sure it would def be over £40.
Anyway, the shoes aren't a good fit so my shop will go down to £20.52 for a £52.57 shop :T0 -
