Righto. I'm off to crack on and start painting ANOTHER room! :(

Shout if any good glitch occurs. Shout loud as I will be singing at the top of my voice with Luther as I work. He makes the hardest task so much more endurable (...for me not the family!)

Morning all......my day so far....woke up to burglar alarm going off (all OK though), showered and as I was combing my hair I realised I had not rinsed the conditioner off... back I go to do so. Burnt toast for son's breakfast, then spilt jam down my white jumper. Back from school run (via Tesco to get printer inks) to find I had not locked the door when I went out :eek: Hoover cylinder full but as I was carrying it to bin to empty I caught the lever and dust went everywhere in kitchen :eek: emptying dishwasher I dropped 2 glasses :eek: Think I should have stayed in bed...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Im glad someone else is getting a hard time this week.... I wonder if its a Welshie thing, JUST because we won the Grand Slam.... Im sure Loccar would agree with us!!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Just catching up and I spotted this! Thanks

No, I'll let you off, wasn't your gas leak :rotfl:
It's a viral infection, Dr told me to self certificate for the next 5 days and see how I feel after that, also got to go get some bloods done as well *shudder* I don't have the veins for getting blood taken!

How are things with your gas, did you get it sorted yet?

awwwwwwwwwwwww bless you... well we did and we didnt.. the Gasman came last night and refused to do it as the cylinder is under the path outside the house... (I know its dangerous!!!!).. But Id had such an awful 2 days, I just burst out crying... the thought of not having a hob to cook on just put a match in the cylinder!! (Pun intended).... He said that he should report it and get everyone out of the house there and then, but I think he felt so sorry for me, he did it and he's coming back next week to put the cylinder further away from the house.. Thank God.... It was the regulator that was letting too much gas out...:eek::eek:

As for the computer issues... it worked fine last night, this morning its down again!!!!!!! So Im on my dongle today again.. Ive again phoned the firm that set it up for me last May... and Ive got to the conclusion that they know absolutely nothing about computers... Its the Wifi that's down not the router, even I can see that now, I tried telling them this this morning, but he wouldnt take it, so Im still waiting for a phonecall for them AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:eek::eek::eek:

    Anyway... hope everyone's ok....
    Keep warm Lookinforbargain
Well done whoever won the points...

If you hear a scream!!!!! dont panic, it will be me in my frustration :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

could anyone point me in right direction for the rustler coupon please
  • Morning all! Absolutely knackered after going to bed at 11 and being woken up by DS twice in the night and then finally fully awake at 5:eek:. Surely a 12 month old should be sleeping through by now?! It's making me so tired all this unbroken sleep :(.

Anyway, went to T's last night. Picked up the last 4 bottles of cheap Ecover washing up liquid. Had to stand on a ledge and use a long box to reach them mind u! Also managed to get one of the Teknika Photo frames. This one was marked as ex-display for £19.97 but I paid £3.10:T. I'm not bothered about it being ex-display for that price!

Stocked up on 8 Lurpaks before the deal ended. The labels for bogof had all been taken down but I risked it and sure enough they were still bogof. Also got some Johnsons bedtime bath using Baby club vouchers that came yesterday and a good deal as they were on bogof too.

Not a bad shop at all though still no whoopsies for me. Gonna try going much earlier next time as suggested by MMW last night (thanks!). Think I might just be going too late every time.

Have a great day everyone! x

My local is an ordinary store not an extra & they do whoopsies from early morning with about 10-20% off, at different times through the day, & for different items, they will knock more off. So if I want fresh veg & fruit I go as close to but after 3pm as it goes down to 75% off if I leave it later it will have all gone. Between 5-6pm I find, is best for chilled meals & meats & also the bakery & bread items. But each store has their own way of doing it. When I go to my nearest extra it can be 8pm & they still havent reduced stuff down to over 50%.

tricia89: ??:rotfl: you mad girl :rotfl: I'm glad to know it's not just me! I had the phone in my back pocket and went to the loo....I'll leave the rest to your imaginations!

Many thanks to the rice-tippers - it's now in a lovely recycled Kelly's ice cream container of rice :) fingers crossed!

I really, really, really, really am off now - after all this is an extra day off, the sun is shining and I am going to make the most of it. Happy day to you all.

Ive dropped 2 phones down the loo! The one with the touchscreen survived the best! Unfortunately that one got pinched along with my bag last year so Im using the keypad one. When it went down the loo the water got through the keys really quick & it started going crazy with the flash going off and it was beeping & lighting up & got red hot really quickly. I managed to get the battery out & left it in the airing cupboard for a week but I have to charge it every 8-12 hours & thats without really using it. Have you taken the battery out & left the back off?

So sorry to hear this....I would go see your friend, just let let her cry/talk about her husband. Remember actions speak louder than words ...and I am sure she will appreciate your visit ...people do tend to shy away from people who have lost a loved one because they don't know what to say but just being there will help.

I'm terrible in those situations I am banned from funerals I could cry at an empty box & get more upset than the chief mourners. I was talking to a friend of a friend once who I didn't know too well, she was telling me about her dog who had died I few months earlier next thing I was in floods of tears & she was consoling me!

Perhaps send her a text & a sympathy card, visit her after the funeral all the fuss & attention will be over and she will be grateful for the company.

So true. A dear friend of mine who had to cope with losing a daughter through cot death told me that the most comforting visit he had was when a neighbour just came and burst into tears when he couldn't think what to say. They both cried together. :(
I've not been in such a terrible situation thankfully but this comment has stayed with me. Words mean nothing but being there does.[/QUOTE]

So true JJ. Obviously not so bad but when I miscarried at a late stage (ages ago now), people would cross over the street rather then not know what to say to me. One lady (who I knew but wasn't a friend at the time), went out of her way to come and see me and did exactly the same thing. When people shun you, it feels like what has happened is your own fault iyswim.

Morning all (just about got that in before midday lol) stocked up on butter yesterday :) not tesco related but if anyone has a voucher/gift card for Game I would spend it ASAP as it looks very likely they are going into administration very soon, lots of people losing jobs :( unless they get bought out.
Chocolate always makes me feel better!
