Morning everyone,
I had a lovely afternoon at my MIL yesterday, I wandered down about 4.30 while DH and big uns were at football. Then my 2 SIL arrived with my nephews. The men all went for a quick pint while we ordered a take away indian. Really nice evening.
Smokey - Can't add anything but agree the debt free board looks a good place to start.
Dbl - How nice for you. Look forward to hearing all the funny bits later.
I'm off to make a pot of tea. Church later then to watch middle boy play football. For once the match starts after church so I can do both! hope it stops raining though!
Hugh chicken to roast for lunch. DSS is coming so better do an extra 20 potatoes to pad it out a bit!0 -
Good morning all
Just a quick one while boys finishing breakfast. Much better night - both boys slept right through until 7.00 and DGS1 seems to be as bright as a button this morning!
DLB - your party sounds wonderful! What a lovely surpise.
Smokybabe - sorry to hear of your worries.
As it is a very damp morning no visit to the farm. However I think we will go to the butterfly farm instead as it is undercover.
Hope you all have a good Sunday.

morning all
glad you had a lovely party dlb
Happy Birthday rchddap :j
wet and mild here today, it was so mild yesterday that i was round the village twice, once with dgs3 in buggy
went to the library yesterday, i had to go to halfords first as kyles dh said the main beam was out on the headlight, couldnt believe the price of a bulb so i came away without it will see if i can get one cheaper anyway i was early for the library, but went into the lobby to wait with the rest and was looking at the pictures when i heard a man say, excuse me would you like a seat, well i must have aged ten years then :rotfl: but i looked round and thanked him kindly and said i would stand and grow big and he said, only about two minutes to waiti must have looked on my last legs
but its lovely there are still people with manners, i think it took me aback because its not often people bother nowadays
i am off to tidy round now and i think i will take a beef casserole from the freezer for tea
hugs to smokeybabe
love to all xx0 -

Did you find anywhere cheaper for the bulb?
grannybroon - oooh, enjoy the butterfly farm. Never been to one myself, but it sounds interesting!
groatie queen - welcome home, sounds like you had a marvelous time. I agree, sharing good food with good company is such a lovely thing to do - not to mention all those new recipes you pick up
elaine - sounds like you need to return to the discipline of a shopping listMy weakness/downfall is popping in for one thing and coming out with several - so I know I have to be *very* strict with myself. Glad the car is fixed though
sahmx5 - good luck at the footie, my 12yo is playing this afternoon too, but it's his dad's turn to stand and cheer, hence me being able to skive off at my friendsEnjoy the luxury of being able to go to church *and* the footie, hope his team wins for you

Morning all
Happy birthday Rchddap - Hope you have a great day.
DLB - Party sounds great - what a thoughtful DH you have there.
Actually got some sleep last night - everyone seems a little better today but my temperatures going up so guess I'm going to have turn now
Just watching my ebay auctions finish - I love this bit - refreshing the page to see how much it's gone up by....when I went to bed last night it was at £44 ish - this morning it's at £98!!! :j
Going to take DD1 out for a walk later - she wants to go back to school tomorrow but hasn't left the house in over a week - she's not eating to well either so I want to show her how quickly she'll get tired....I could do with the fresh air too.
Dinner will be SC chicken that noone fancied yesterday with roast potatoes and veg, I like the idea of a picnic tea for tonight - will make some rolls later and some cakes.
Have a great sunday one and all."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Morning all!!
Wow what a headache i have:rolleyes: Have been up about a hour and tidyed up a bit, and have put lamb in slow cooker.
Just looked a the photos from last night,:rotfl: :rotfl: , we all had a great night the kids really enjoyed it, and dh was wise enough not to tell them about the party or i think i would have found out!!
The meal was beautiful just very very expensive!! It will be the last time we go there until im debt free! Ds3 was nearly sick at the table:eek: , he likes to try new food..but the `green dip` as he called it didnt agree with him!!! Dh was so funny trying to get him away from the table to the loos :rotfl:
But he came back and had huge bowl of ice cream!!
The staff came over and sang happy birthday and brought a cake, then stuck a 5ft sambrero on my head!! Which the kids thought was highly amusing!!
Not as amusing as dh face when he got the bill.. told me im not allowed out again till im 40 !:D
Cant belive i didnt pick up on the fact dh went the long way home and took ages to park the car right, i was trying to open the back door think oh no iv left it unlocked all night..but of cause friends had been given a key to sort out the party, turns out the nights he has been late home from work this week he has been nipping to friends sorting it out.
Its one birthday i wont forget in a hurry:T :T
Todays plans. Finish packing bag for ds1 as hes off tommorow for a 3 day school trip, he also has footy match this afternoon 2pm ko, then we will have lamb dinner after that.
Hope you are all ok and have a wonderful sunday.

My head feels slightly better today, ears are blocked and throats sore - but you know how it is - mums aren't allowed to be ill LOL
Anyway, we're off to the pics for the kids club soon and have reduced outdoor reared pork chops (isn't that the way pork should be?)
Take care all and have a good Sunday BBxxIf you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.0
