Afternoon
Today I am the new owner of a stunning Papaya wool coat for the bargain price of £1. It had been hanging for a while and had just been reduced. It is beautiful and so very cosy. It had been priced quite high and this Charity shop policy is to reduce everything to a £1 after being on the floor for a set time. I was extremely fortunate to be there just at the right time. It was meant for meand I needed it.
Other bargains were
a vintage 1950's ballerina fairy Christmas Tree topper for 50p
Colleen Rooney perfumed body cream 50p never opened. Smells so good too
Brand new stunning enamel earrings for my daughters Christmas present £1.
Gorgeous felt wool scarf for myself £1...stunning item would have cost a lot to knit.
Good mornings shopping for a very small amount.0 -
A Mama's & Papa's rocking cow - a few dinks in the varnish of the rocker but all else is fine, usually about £40 - but paid (& felt guilty doing so!) £5!0

Today I found a FatFace jumper, absolutely gorgeous, for 99p and a beautiful girls embroidered velvet skirt by Laura Ashley, also 99p!!!
I love hunting in charity shops.....my last look round got me a FatFace wool gillet/cardi for 2.49, a Next t-shirt for 1.49 and a lovely fitted jumper just right for layering in the cold weather (John Lewis I think) for 1.00.
I love the fact that you don't just get what's in fashion, but a mix of colours/styles etc that make your wardrobe unique.0 -

I don't seem to have much luck in my area. I walked into Heart Foundation and saw a very used F & F coat for £8.50 and walked straight out again. I think I might try a different town.I must remember that "Money Saving" is not buying heavily discounted items that I do not need. :hello:0

I haven't been to the charity shops in weeks as I now have a foster doggie keeping me busy!
Will catch up with all your bargains soon xHere dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.
