I LOVE CHARITY SHOPS!!! Trudging around all of the charity shops in my town (about 8 of them) I cobbled together myself a killer suit for cheap.

    - Black formal trousers £5
    - White formal shirt £4
    - 4 ties £5
    - Dark blue wool jumper £8
    - M&S black blazer £6

    Total cost: ~£32 :D
  • I'm back in work 3 days a week now so don't get my usual weekly scoot round, but managed to pick up a beautiful purple monsoon dress for £8.99 for my little boys christening in January.

Is there a thread where people can show off their thrifty charity shop buys?

Does anyone have any advice for buying mens clothing from charity shop - things to look for in particular, things to beware of, etc?

I bought myself a great pair of shoes a week ago, £3, they had no laces so total cost came to £3.50 and 2 minutes of fiddling

When looking at shirts check the underarms for deodorant stains and collars and cuffs for wear/fraying.

Check there are no missing buttons.
A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.

Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.
