Pollycat - yes that is how I will wear it for winter, or over leggings, with either my cropped Armani jumper in a chunky navy blue knit or my long navy cardigan. In summer it will be good with bare legs and converse as it is knee length.

caffinated_geek - wow a coat for 50p, can you imagine the cost per wear that you will get from that?

  • Yesterday I spotted a gorgeous bag in Ilkley's Cancer Research shop window - price £45!!!! I didn't stop to ask which designer it was!! Ilkley cs have always been expensive but, come on, £45!!

Today I am off to Skipton where I am hopeful of seeing better bargains!

  • Charity shop again today. Got a huge double bed sized hand knitted blanket for £4. Another coat for 50p and a black cardigan for 50p. I love knitted blankets, they're so warm.

I went to Ilkley yesterday and saw that bag too. I very briefly glanced at it but think it was Ralph Lauren but I might be wrong. You are right the prices were insane. I saw a bobbly M&S Indigo range cardigan for £10 and the same one in another shop there for £6.95. Harrogate where you would expect it to be really pricey is much cheaper than Ilkley.

    Yesterdays purchases

George flannel shirt in blue plaid 99p - this is a mans small but fits fine as long as I don't want to fasten it up which I don't.

Hollister blue and grey long sleeved t shirt 99p - again a mans small, very soft material and a nice fit under the above shirt.

Laura Ashley nordic style wool blend jumper £3.95, weirdly there was a Next jumper right next to this one for £5.95 which I didn't understand.

    M&S boys checked shirt £1
    Boys Primark hoodie £2
Wool blanket in muted brown and hunter green £9 - not cheap but I loved it for the sofa.

  • I found a warm coat for £1 today.:T It is a bit tight, but I wanted to lose a few pounds anyway.

I can get it on and just wear it open for now.:p

The brand is b.young. I hadn't heard of it before.

I really fancy a long weekend away in Harrogate, Betty’s Tea Room beckons. Perhaps in the spring...

I bought another 10 books yesterday, for £4. But they are damn fine ones, mostly on society history.

I bought a fab M&S Autograph bra BNWT for 99p Age Concern. Fits perfectly (not all M&S same size bras do for me).

And a navy super-soft 100% cotton 3/4 sleeve top. Make is 'Spirit of the Andes' and it says 'made in Peru'. £1.00 Air Ambulance

    It's the Vanessa style:
