As regards labels, am I the only one who will see something gorgeous then put it back because it is Atmosphere? It's a matter of principle, on the grounds that it will probably fall to bits. Silly really.
I do that too, usually cos the c/s is charging more than the item would have cost new! I do try not to be swayed too much by a fancy label but have to admit I am a sucker for Hobbs, LK Bennett and Ted Baker
(Dunno if anyone here likes rummaging round an M & S Outlet store but yesterday they had a massive sale on at my local one - got a lovely smart & warm wool and cashmere coat in navy for £39....just squizzed it online...original price £149. Also got a pawsh black dress for £9...originally £79. That's my splurging done for the time being. Loads of dresses for £9, ladies trousers for £7, men's trousers for £7 for e.g.)0 -
A car boot - does that count? Himself spotted a familiar box, and yes, is now the happy owner of two glass chimneys for oil lamps. Two quid a pop, RRP over £50.0

Went into Age UK in Nantwich, next to B&M's In Swine Market, yesterday. Lady on the till was telling customers that they get a delivery of brand new, some with tags, Ted Baker clothes which they put out on the 1st of every month. She said you have to get there 9am prompt because they sell like hot cakes. Hope this helps someone.Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

MIRO I must have "bumped" into you at some point as my regular haunts are Otley, Ilkley and Skipton and, when at our caravan in North Yorks, Harrogate, Ripon or Thirsk!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -

Thanks for the info about when they put the TB items out as I didn't know that. I have been fortunate in getting two of these items this year, lovely quality but still quite expensive even at chazza prices! When Ds1 was at Leeds uni he lived in Headingley and Meanwood... the Headingley chazzer run was always good!
Sadly we have lost four chazzas recently in Headingley, still have five left tho.TravellingAbuela wrote: »MIRO I must have "bumped" into you at some point as my regular haunts are Otley, Ilkley and Skipton and, when at our caravan in North Yorks, Harrogate, Ripon or Thirsk!
Ha ha! Yes, I think you mentioned the St Gemmas 99p shop in Otley so I knew you were not too far away from me. We should all carry or wear something secret to identify us as MSE'rs. (Seem to remember the 'Old Stylers', yonks ago, used to wear a teeny gold safety pin in their lapels!)
Off on a Ted Baker hunt this afty! (Update: Found nowt!)0 -

I was looking at The Essex Serpent in Waterstone's at £9.99 hardback or £8.99 paperback, decided to leave it until it appeared in a charity shop - then went into the charity shop around the corner and got the hardback - which looks untouched - for £1!0
