We were on holiday down south last week and I popped in the Red Cross store in Lewes. Spotted a new Tommy Hilfiger cotton cardigan for £5.50. I don't normally like to spend so much in a cs but it was a lovely colour (a sort of pinky peach) and after much dithering I decided to buy it.

Oh gingernutty - I'm so with you on these frilled and belled sleeves - they just get in the way and irritate!! Wore my 'new' striped cotton sweater yesterday and had a few complimentary comments. I think it will be a staple in my wardrobe. I've found that long length jeans from the supermarkets are just as good if not better than the ones I used to buy in LTS - and a third of the price!

I've got a job interview on Thursday.

Teal is suddenly the in colour but I don't like the strange, frilled, fluted, bugle or bell sleeves that are everywhere.

My local BHF had a 3/4 sleeve, teal, F&F top with a silver bar detail for £4.99.

Yes. I know it's T*sco. But the colour is lovely and it's smart enough for the interview.

Good luck with your interview....let us know how you get on!

I watched a 'yummy mummy' in an M & S cafe trying to feed her toddler when wearing those voluminous, (and impractical) sleeves. She got more food on her sleeves than she did into the child!

I love that teal colour....saw a gorgeous teal dress in TkMaxx the other day priced at £69! My inner shopping fairy said 'if you wait something similar will turn up in a charity shop for a fraction of the price'.

That's the benefit of window shopping: it wakes up your consciousness to spotting something you really want, and creates both happiness andd investment when you find it!

I think I've mentioned before on here just how many TU cardigans I've had out of charity shops. Great shape.

    Great kids clothes too!

    I think I may have "Misbought "
    I spent £36 and got
A large new in bag pure wool cream blanket, satin bound edges, in cream. Lovely quality , originally £75 in shop reduced in sale to £60 and I paid £20. But do I really need it?!
Also slipped up on a nice Pull and Bear grey marl tunic dress £9.99
Vgc but I see online it was only 13.99 new.
Two new loaf tins 99p- I've got two so why did I buy them?
And a black shaggy type longline jumper.

    Hmm, not my finest day.

Been looking at the Lamaze Tummy Time toy for a while on second-hand sites online. New it's £30 and second-hand going for about £10-15 and technically DS is now a bit big for it but he's still struggling to get going on all fours (happier holding on to hands and walking) but spotted one under the shelves in the local Barnardos for £3.99.

Will keep for a planned second baby at any rate!
