Hi.
The recipe that was specially recommended to me in the book that set me on my mission was Afghan Aubergine with yogurt, it's on page 222/223.
Thanks, let me know if you try any of the receipes. I only have another couple of weeks to wait until I can use mine.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

I'm back to hunting for summer dresses for my friend in the Seychelles. So far I've got 3 or 4 lovely ones for 99p each, one quite a posh looking one suitable for going "out out'', if you see what I mean.
However, I found something for me yesterday! It's an asymmetrical long double layered floaty type dress, like a summer evening dress, for 99p! We have a works summer ball soon, so I'm sorted now.0 -

He doesn't cook much (although he can) but does like Indian.
So you'll be using yours before mine.
Here's some other recommendations from the book from the same member, I'm sure she wouldn't mind me sharing:The onion bhajis will mean you will never again eat a shop bought one again
The chicken tikka masala is scrummy. I use the griddle instead of the grill and don't bother with skewers
The biryani is scrummy as a big party dish. Way too much and convoluted to make for less, but well worth the effort

A couple of days ago I went to the Hokusai exhibition at the British Museum, (Japanese artist), and was looking longingly at the souvenir books on sale in the museum shop. Couldn't bring myself to pay their prices tho much as I would have liked to. The next day I was meandering through the community chazza and for some reason I started looking at the book section, (not something I usually do), when to my amazement and delight I came across a lovely hardback about the artist's life and work, complete with illustrations and priced at £1.50.....something similar in the BM would have been £35! Soooo pleased
Then I had a quick shufty in the Debra shop where everything is £1.99 and came across a cobalt blue, heavy crepe, fitted dress with a split neckline and small split in the front of the skirt. No makers name in it. I loved the colour and the style so I bought it without even trying it on. Looked hardly worn but I guessed from the cut that it was perhaps designed about 10 years ago. Fitted perfectly but it was calf length so I have shortened it to knee length. It has small shoulder pads, (not Dynasty stylee!!), which designers don't seen to bother with now but I was amazed at what a difference they make to the figure by balancing the hips (iykwim). I gave it a whizz in the washer to freshen it up and it came out a treat...
I seem to have amassed a lot of 'stuff' from the charity shops this last week.0 -
Today I went to the low cost cancer research shop, maximum price is £3
And got a vintage Tupperware multi cooker which looks unused it cost £1. I've googled it and apparently you can cook rice, pasta, veg and even make yoghurt in it. In the same shop I got a pair of boden ladies linen trousers for £2 and a smocky type white top for £2. On Friday I was in Beverley which has some great charity shops. I got a cath kidston picnic hamper for £20 which has not been used as got the plastic on but I've realised two of the glasses are missing which is a bit of a shame0 -
I was browsing a local Sue Ryder and there was a Cath Kidston changing bag for an eye-watering £50.00! Not sure how much they are new?A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.

The charity would do better to put these so-called "high value" items on eBay. They are only going to clutter up the shop for weeks otherwise.I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

Our £1 Age Concern shut down as well the rates had doubled so yet another empty shop in our town  so Sue Ryder it is for me now , crazy but I feel i have to justify spending £2 on an item for myself well it is a 100% markup !!0
