I was back on the chazzer trail in Essex this weekend:
Chazzer 1: For my little niece in good condition for just £2 (RRP £3.99 per book / from £15 on Amazon / $50 on a US site):
Chazzer 2: Again for my niece, brand new looking at 75p (RRP £9.99):
BNWT for £1.75 (RRP £22.50):
I plan to fill this with pictures of niece plus other family members as she loves identifying different people.
For me: 2 paperbacks and a hardback, all fiction for £1; a card for 25p and fridge magnet with this quote for 20p:
Thrift shop / house clearance store: 2 thick paperback novels at 50p, BoGoF so just 25p each.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Saw a lovely Ann Taylor Loft maxi dress in BHF yesterday, reduced from £4.99 to £2.49 (probably retailed at £100 ish) and put it back on the rail.

I thought the Oxfam shop in Otley had turned into a designer boutique when I first walked in yesterday! Facing me on the first rack was a pair of Ted Baker trousers for £34.99!!! Mind you, it did say brand new if that justifies the price they were asking!!! Further back on the same rack was another pair for £24.99! Also brand new! And quite honestly I wouldn't have been seen dead in either of them!
My best buy of the day was in Barnados. A brand new M & S knitted zipper with a velour lining for Mr TA for £3.99. Even that was more than I would normally pay in a cs but it was a lovely zipper!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -

Ha....I saw those items last week, (think they have been there for a few weeks actually)!! Did you see the TB black evening dress in the window priced at something like £80? And a black evening jacket at £60 on the rails? It's strange but the Oxfam shop in Headingley has had the same range of items but at much cheaper prices. Ted Baker must have donated a large quantity of stuff that has been shared out among lots of shops and the local managers must decide on the prices? Can't think of any other explanation. Actually I purchased the black leggings-type trousers (please don't judge me - the ones with the embossed panels not the sequinned ones - I thought they might look good with boots next winter!) for £7.99 in Headingley whereas they were £24.99, (I think), in Otley. The black evening dress was £25 here but has been sold now.
Actually, I might have a trip over to Otley this afternoon as it's a lovely sunny day....tis a nice bus ride and I love a rummage in the 99p shop0
