Bogof Babe - if you tap cut glass it will 'ring' whereas moulded or pressed glass won't! I just ping it with my finger to check. I've a very nice collection of cut glass and lead crystal that I've amassed over the years. It does look lovely to set a 'high tea' and glass goes with everything so there's no need to match. It's not very fashionable now so good pieces can be found for very little Dosh.Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

in Ludlow (Herefordshire) on sat I bought 2 patterned smock dresses (1 from long tall sally) £5 each, a black shirt for £3 a cookbook for £2, a blackadder dvd for 50p and a gorgeous purple patterned summer dress from monsoon for £7.
in 1 shop we went in they had a dress that I bought in Select a couple of years ago for £8 for £12!?!?!?!?!? seriously? I mentioned it to the manageress and she said it was head office that decided on the pricing.

I do agree - and find Ludlow chazzers particularly expensive. Maybe they price according to the town? I also always think I'll get a better class of clothes. Not so, a lot of Primarni and the usual M&S.
Haven't bought anything in ages, I'm well stocked atm.Normal people worry me.0 -
:T Popped in the local chazzer, got myself a lovely pair of tan leather knee high boots that id been after all winter but couldnt find any in my size 8 , from Next still with price tag on £80!!. i'm used to london prices so I don't think they're that astronomical. in the local ones here a stretched tshirt will have a £5 price tag, that I think is far too expensive seeing as I can get a new one for that.0 -
I've been trying to do the clear your clutter for lent challenge so a bag of items per day is going to the charity shop. I made myself a rule that it had to be a bin bag and to my shame I'm managing it! I haven't bought much recently but today got a lovely French connection black dress for my 13 year old dd. She is going to lots of disco parties at the moment and finding something age appropriate but fashionable enough to please a teen is hard. It's in Excond and cost £30

I got a sequin top by Boden for £10. Looked either unused or very little used.
It is quite scratchy and I can see why it was donated.
Not sure if it was a bargain now.0
