I walked past a chazzer at lunchtime and snapped up a copy of "Pilgrims Progress" for 99p, which is a rare find.
I found time to pop into another unexpectedly later this afternoon, and bought 2 kitchen trivets for £1 each (one for me and one for my mum). They are square shaped and on legs, made of thick stainless steel. Can't find a pic online but will keep looking.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Thank you Foxyloxy - but it's always like this at Nettlebed. I'm so used to it that I take it a bit for granted0

Agreed, amazing haul, CJ! I never made it to Nettlebed last year, but have an agreement-in-principle for a girls day out in Henley this summer, probably 1st July as it will be light early.
Hope you make a speedy recovery.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

You really should go to Nettlebed if you are in the area, as the property is up for sale and it might close any time now.
Thank you for your good wishes, my recovery has been nothing short of miraculous, after having been told I only had a year to live - and now I'm fine. I am very lucky0 -
Am heartened to hear that miracles do happen :A
Thanks for the warning, I'll aim for the next one then!Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Visited Cambridge yesterday. Picked up a brand new Joules skirt, with the label still on it. Paid £10.00 Label said £49.95. Will do nicely for work.
Also bought a novel, that only came out in 2015, for £1.502025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

I mis-remembered what wat engraved on the bottom of the saute pan I bought yesterday - it's not Prestige at all. It's the "Professional Cookware Company" which I gather went into administration several years ago and then re-emerged as a company called ProCook. I've just found the exact pan which I bought for £3 - it's this one:

Fat Face jersey dress in brown and cream swirls, with a fancy pleated shoulder line.
Slightly pricey at £3.99 (from BHF) but it fitted really nicely and will look good with my Doc Mart's Chelsea boots and thick brown tights.0 -
Black ankle boots extra wide, just what I needed, new with tags £4. They are still being sold through Shoe Tailor at £31.50. Five assorted tops including Joules, Ann Harvey, etc. all £1 each. Boxes of soap, normally retail at £10-£15 - 50p each. I will be fragrant for months!Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

Do you ever wonder about the previous history of items you buy from charity shops?
On one occasion ages ago I bought a lovely jacques Vert suit for a bargain price and found the owner had left a note in the pocket along the lines of "Im very sad to let this go but alas I can no longer squeeze into it. I hope you enjoy wearing it as much as I've done". The charity shop had obviously left the note in there and whenever I wore that suit I thought of the anonymous lady who had donated it.0
