From my favourite Air Ambulance shop:
Another lovely TU jersey dress in a ditsy print £1.00
TU leggings silvery grey with black 'flock' pattern on (and still with paper inspection label on) £1.00

    I love this shop!

Going shopping and lunching today with a friend in a local market town with lots of CS. It's an upmarket area so may find some goodies - fingers crossed!

Since my favourite cancer hospice shop closed I seem to be spending far more on individual items than in the past! Only purchase this week was a pair of charcoal grey, Austin Reed smart jeans, (if that isn't something of an oxymoron!). £3.50 from the Martin House childrens hospice shop.

Got a gorgeous cut crystal (or appearance of) glass bowl with a silver (probably plated) rim... 50p! It will look lovely on my coffee table with satsumas (or more likely sweeties :o ) in.

This was from a local charity shop that supports a residential home for profoundly disabled children. It's a real "rummage" shop, a whole lot of complete tat like empty coffee jars and rusting cutlery, but the odd gem hiding among the shelves. You never know what you'll find!
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

I showed my mum a hidden gem of a chazzer in her hometown today. She bought:

    - an oven grill with cooling tray - £1 (despite her doubts, fits the oven perfectly!)
    - 2 x 12-bottle stainless steel interlocking wine racks - £1.50 each
    - 2 scarves (inc one thick and woolly but smart one for me next winter!) - 50p each
    - A BNWT hat and glove set - £1

And a necklace for £1 after I left the shop! I didn't spend anything, but got vicarious pleasure :)

Hope is not a strategy :D...A child is for life, not just 18 years....Don't get me started on the NHS, because you won't win...I love chaz-ing!

Didn't find anything that I had to have - saw a couple of ' maybe's' but didn't get anything in the end. Not bothered as I'm not needing anything desperately at the moment.

This is a good move, its a way of avoiding adaptation and will make the next find all the sweeter.

Needing some exercise, I walked into my nearest major town this morning. I usually avoid it like the plague, but as I was there I thought I'd go on a chazzer-trawl. I was surprised by a couple of things: one the ridiculous prices - BHF is particularly unrealistic - and secondly the largely well turned out middle class customers, who like me were moving from chaz-to-chaz. Is it just me that dresses down (cagoule over jeans and no make-up) for such occasions?

Anyway, I was lucky enough to come across the very thing I was divining at the price I wanted to pay: a heavy wrought iron book stand for my study, in excellent condition and all the better for being adjustable! £3, retail for much more BN.

Thank you CRUK. Happy days pour moi :T

Bought these on my way into town (a journey I didn't complete because of traffic jams).
A silver charm of a crystal globe that spun on a thin silver mount, 50p (approx £8.99 on Fleabay)
Some gold coloured half hoop earring studs with a stripe of diamante down the middle. 50p
A marquetry cribbage board with some pins in a secret compartment underneath 50p
A sealed 1978 Jigsaw of Pennsylvania by the Great American Puzzle Factory 50p
A "Weller" soldering Gun in its case £3:00 [£45]
Two sealed Avon Men's deodorants in flavours(?) I've already ordered from next time's catalogue, 50p each
Apair of Olympus mini binoculars in case £1:50 [£35]
A Monocular in case (like a mini telescope) with a microssope viewer £1.50 [£46]
A pair of toy binoculars for my Grandson, still boxed, a souvenir from the National Railway Museum 50p
One happy (and more reasonable smelling hubby, one Happy DD (puzzles & cribbage) Happy Grandson (he looked through the wrong end of the souvenir binoculars and said "Thank you Tiny Granny".

    Love the book-stand, VFM. :T

Visited a nearby city for the day yesterday, saw a few nice things but pricy - outside my 'must have that' price range.

But did buy a really nice White Stuff jersey dress in 4 shades of purple/plum flowers with a bit of cream.
Cross over bodice with a contrasting pattern inset vest.
    Lovely quality,
Similar are around £70 on their website.

    Paid £3.00 from Cancer Research.
