  • Belfast chazzers, if anyone's visiting again - not really in the city centre, try the university area where there are several good ones, and the Lisburn Road where there are lots!

I was away last week and did a few chazzers in Lincolnshire - pleased with a 1950s cashmere cardi for £2.50 and a nice brooch - only gold-plated but with a lovely real opal - for £2!

I got my DGS two albums for his record player, yes he actually does have one of those that he asked for as a Christmas present last year .He takes it back to Uni with him and has his special collectin of albums that he enjoys.I found in the Earl Mountbatten C/S in Cowes a Beethoven 5th that he wanted and also a guitar instrumental record with popular classic guitar tunes on.The pair came to a quid, and we were both happy with that :):):).

He did find in another second hand record shop an album of David Bowie's, Heros which he was happy to spend a tenner on !!!
I nearly had a heart attack at that price ,but he said it was on his list of albums that he wanted, so fair enough I suppose and he did pay for it himself out of his holiday cash. For a 20 year old he does have a wide range of musical tastes, he plays a guitar himself as a hobby, he says it relaxes him when he has been studying :) beats taking dodgy substances at Uni I guess :) Luckily he is a sensible chap

Not a charity shop but an eBay bargain so hope it's allowed but I'm just so excited. Two, two seater Laura Ashley sofas hardly used in current fabric for £92 the pair. They are currently in the Laura Ashley sale for over £1200 each. They come with 4 matching cushions which are currently selling for £45 each so would have been over £2500

    Wow Bobsa, that's a fantastic bargain! :-)

Popped into my local clan today as I am looking for a nice large plant pot for a climbing plant and got a Tu kaftan-style silk top, a F&F chiffon blouse and a Markies blouse all from the £1 rail. Perfect for work.

    Its like an addiction!

My sister had some good finds for our little princess the other day: a good quality dress for autumn for £1, and a super cute red party dress for £2.50 that she (the toddler) will wear on Christmas Day. Sister came back declaring she would struggle to buy her daughter brand new outfits now she knows what she can get from the chaz!

That is what I call a result, Mrs Snooty has been looking down on my chazzer habit for years but now seems to be beating me at my own game :D

Hope is not a strategy :D...A child is for life, not just 18 years....Don't get me started on the NHS, because you won't win...I love chaz-ing!

The Earl Mountbatten Hospice shop in Cowes is my local chazzer! The one in East Cowes near the ferry is a better branch though ;)
