What is your charity shop bargain of the week?

I dropped a bag of books off at the local(ish) Oxfam bookshop, and found out that's closing in December. Well, I saw the For Sale sign above the shop, and then when I Googled it, I found out it's closing. So sad for the volunteers, and as a second hand bookshop, it's sad to see it go.0

I've been having a good week - an Aquascutum raincoat for the OH in new condition for £15 (I've just looked at them on ebay and been shocked by the prices being asked for shabby old, even stained ones....!) plus a hand-knotted tribal rug for £5 because it was faded - that's why I wanted it!0

This week's bargains........
Navy & white stripey sweatshirt, Paul Costelloe, 50p

M & S BNWT (£35) linen skirt in peacock blue & white, £1.50
Black dress, makers label removed, with long sleeves, sweetheart neckline and intricate seaming. Think they used to call em 'sheath dresses' in a bygone age....now 'body con'!!! £3

I've just returned from a super-quick visit to the Nettlebed sales, I only had an hour to spare and that's not nearly enough time there
Best bargain = a brand new, unused, in-car dog guard, the exact one to fit our Freelander. These are many many ££ new so I was thrilled to get this one for just £3. We're getting ready for our new puppy, who will be with us in about six weeks, yay!
Other delights included three new cookery books (buying cookery books is a bit of a weakness, can't help myself)
a hardback book for Mr CJ called something like the Dog Listener which is all about puppy training (we've had dogs before so I'm sure we know what we're doing but it's a lovely book to read while we wait impatiently for the new puppy). (Did I mention we're getting a new puppy?)
The Tony Lord hardback book all about gardening at Sissinghurst. I've wanted this book for ages and have come close to ordering it online, but didn't fancy spending £25. Bought it today in perfect condition for £1.50
Three metres of really lovely material - it's printed on the selvedge with "Conran 1988" so I'm guessing perhaps it's from Habitat. It's an Alice in Wonderland cartoon print. (Edited to add that I've just googled it and someone on eBay in Italy is selling 1.4 metres of it for 175 Euros!!!! I was going to use it to sew some children's cushions to sell at a Christmas charity fundraiser, but now I'm not sure. I might raise more money by just selling the fabric).
A couple of kitchen bits and bobs - a conical sieve, a small heavy duty non-stick loose-bottom cake tin (about 6 or 8 inches across and about 3 inches deep, just the right size for an individual celebration cake which is what I wanted it for), a very large enamel colander, and a new boxed Lakeland jelly bag and stand as I cannot for the life of me find mine and there's bramble jelly to be made.
I spent around £15 I think. Good haul0 -
Nothing for weeks but today I got a lovely green Landsend quilted jacket and a Windsmoor linen shirt for £1 each
Worth the wait!

I am looking for a nice large plant pot for a climbing plant and got a Tu kaftan-style silk top, a F&F chiffon blouse and a Markies blouse all from the £1 rail. Perfect for work.

From Hope House charity shop in Bridgnorth today:
One Monsoon top: £3.00
One Denim top: £1.75
Much more sensibly priced than one of the other charity shops on the High Street, asking £5.95 for a Fat Face top .....I don't think so!!!Normal people worry me.0 -
Not a CS but Car Boot bargain or two - one stall had everything at 10p and they were seriously OK clothes including three new t-shirts for OH. Also managed to pick up one of the big (14") George Foremans which we have been looking for for some time. It cost £3 and the chap threw in a box of Odor Eaters (unused of course!) which cost £3.75 to buy!Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14
