Not had anything to report for ages as bargains have been very thin on the ground. However, today, in the hospice sale I found a pair of brand new Lotus beige patent wedges for £5....just found them for sale on EBay for £44.99. Also got a Roman Originals sundress, also brand new, denim blue, strappy, with lacy bits and a tiered skirt for £2....found on the Roman site for £30. Then I found a pair of Ralph Lauren straight legged beige jeans, as new, for £3. A nice little haul!

However, today's visit was bitter/sweet as I found out that last Friday, during the sale period, someone had forced their way into the hospice office and intimidated and menaced the staff into handing over their phones and other stuff too. All very upsetting. They were caught on CCTV so I hope the police are able to catch the scum!! It's bad enough when people steal goods from the rails and shelves on sale days but to treat the staff in that way is just despicable. They are all very shaken. I hope the perpetrator or his family never get to use the wonderful facilities there.

Sorry for the rant but I feel really upset about it.....:(

Rant away Miro., I'm sure we all find that disgusting!
Hope they catch the scumbags and that the staff are able to recover quickly.

Mister CJ accidentally broke the glass lid to my large slow cooker recently, and last Saturday I managed to get a replacement lid in exactly the right size for just 50p. Other bargains that day included a brand new 30cm Circulon heavy frying pan for £3, and a very pretty little silver-topped crystal salt and pepper shaker set for £1.50.

Not such a great bargain was the new/sealed Geoff Hamilton Garden Design software box - it was only £1 but I have discovered that it's quite an old edition and the CD-ROM isn't compatible with my computer. Still, it came with a nice gardening book so all is not lost :)

Looking forward to reading about your bargains, Nannylala.

    I think I'm 'shopped up'. :(

I went round the 6 charity shops in our village yesterday and nothing jumped out at me.
I felt that I couldn't even be bothered to look through the rails to find a bargain.

I don't know if it's because my wardrobes are so full they're groaning (I'm in a '1 in 1 out' situation :o) or if it's the cold weather that's making me disinterested.

    .

I was like that the other day. I always have a look at the household/knick shelf, but it just couldn't be bothered to look through the clothing. It all seemed too crammed together like they'd try to ram too much out.

Actually found stuff I needed in charity shops yesterday. Always have a mooch around but bargains are thin on the ground. Yesterday got 2BNWT Evans dresses for summer in my size, am a larger lady and a pair of Mountain Warehouse walking trousers for my daughter. Today I went back to get 6 assorted Lilliput Lane models for the grand total of 15 pounds. Must add there are 13 charity shops locally.
