Yesterday's bargain was a lovely table and 4 chairs from the local YMCA furniture shop, £45. Brand is Ercol and the chairs are the Windsor shaker ones, the table is the Chester pedestal one.

    :)

Ooh, you lucky thing! We're thinking of replacing our dining set, and I'd love Ercol but unless I can find a bargain like yours it won't be happening!

Lordy! Lordy! Here I go again!
Do I really need another maxi dress?
Of course not  but this one is a fab tropical flower/leaf pattern in my colours and I have a pair of multi-coloured flat leather sandals that will go perfectly with it. Needs about 9" lopping of the bottom but that's not a problem. :D
Not an expensive make (Tu) but looks unworn & is a lovely jersey fabric. £3.99.
I use this website to locate chazzas in a new area, it's the reason OH thinks I have chazza radar :rotfl:

    http://www.charityretail.org.uk/

click on the find a shop button, it isn't 100% accurate but it'll give you a good idea of the best streets for the shops.
I'll have a look at the link later (am on my phone on the bus).
I use yell.com to search for charity shops.

We've been out for the day so had a look around quite a few cs I've got to say that some of them are just selling tat very expensively. I went to a designer outlet yesterday and some things were cheaper there brand new than I've seen in cs.
We have got a couple of bargains though dd got a wheeled case which meets hand luggage requirements for £2.99. I got a joules tunic top for £6.99 and similar even at the outlet were £34.95 so quite pleased with that
Yesterday I bought an outfit for my daughters graduation in June from ted baker. I needed a sit down when they gave me the bill total. Cs have definitely spoilt me

Hi everyone! Just a quick reminder that if you live in or near Edinburgh (or are visiting!) the link above is a comprehensive map of every charity shop in Edinburgh and the type of stuff they sell.

When my OH lived there for a year it was invaluable to me! I wish they did this for every city.

  • I've just started trawling the charity shops as I have a 5 month old little one who is growing sooooo quickly, there really is not point spending too much on his clothes lol! Having said that this weeks haul has mainly been for me - a pair of Joules jeans, hardly worn £4.49, Joules tunic top £4.99, a Joules sweatshirt, fat face t shirt and pair of jodhpurs out of the 3 for 99p basket. Did get LO a Next hoody in the next size up but he wore it yesterday and it's already on the small side - point proven!

I was very pleased to find a smart new (never been worn) Per Una dark grey denim gored A line skirt, a nice long length, with a snazzy belt, which will be good for work, for £1.99 in a local charity emporium. I have two others of similar style but much older, one of which is the worse for wear and can now be put into fabric recycling.

I've just re-discovered ebay - someone take paypal away from me lol! I just bought a BNWOT Joules cable knit jumper for £9.90 and missed out on a pair of new dance shoes by £1!!

My latest charity shop bargain was a pretty brass leaf pattern magazine holder for my living room for £3. I'll be using it to store the cat toys lol.

Have been to many charity shops this Easter but only a few bargains found:
    1. Medium mens hoddies for fussy teen son £1
    2. Ekho???? tshirt (they sell them in JD sports for about £20) £1.99 BNWT fussy teen utterly over the moon with it!
    3. Coat for dd - £3 and it has the most lovely design on it, fits her like a glove.

Going to the town where dh works tomorrow and they have LOADS of chazzas so will be having a park/chazza day to keep both me and dd happy!
