I pop in regularly to our local one and have virtually abandoned the others, they're getting way too pricey and are even marking up Per Una as a premium label.
Yep, I agree with you there. I'm fortunate in having 10 charity shops within reasonable walking distance, one hospice, one community and the rest all the usual Oxfam, PDSA, Heart etc. The hospice and the community ones are by far the best, the cheapest and the most friendly.
To round off my week of nice finds I got a lovely gardeners journal/diary/planner thingy yesterday in the hospice sale for 50p. Into the present box it goes!0 -
I also favour the local based charity shops, I pick up the best bargains from the unwashed selection of jumble in my local animal based charity shop and a local community based children's one.
Today I had a Boden short black cord winter skirt for 50p, and a white crocheted long sleeve jumper for 50p as well0 -
Had a good day yesterday, courtesy of two different Sally Annes. Overall I found a Next cotton top; two heavy cotton shirts for OH; a brand new denim dress for work; a short sleeved shirt for holidays; two pair of (obviously new in packet) hold ups; and an immaculate pair of leather Reiker walking sandals - total £28. However, as it was between two different branches I used my 2 x £10 loyalty stamps and the actual cash cost was £8. Bargain!Looking ahead0

I bought a spotless double fitted sheet with Dorchester on the label, it is heavy and feels really really nice!! paid £2.50. Looked online and they are quite expensive!!0

I bought a 5-tier seed tray rack with seed trays, in immaculate condition, from my local hospice shop for £5. I don't think it had ever been used. It looks like this one, which retails at nearly sixty quid:

I had to semi-dismantle it in the car park which was a bit of a faff (but I'm thrilled with the saving, so well worth it)0 -
Had a trip round the chazzers on Saturday and spent nearly £14 but got 3 woollies all named and almost immaculate. Stocking up for winter work gear. :rotfl:

I bought loads of books from chazzers whilst holidaying in the Highlands recently. Dingwall was particularly fruitful.
I also agree with the comment re: supporting local charity shops, better stock and better prices.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Hope is not a strategy...A child is for life, not just 18 years....Don't get me started on the NHS, because you won't win...I love chaz-ing!

I bought a fab Wallis petite maxi dress, very nice quality jersey in my favourite shades of fuchsia & jade with a bit of black.
It fits perfectly, the straps are wide enough that your bra doesn't show and the length is just right with a pair of flat sandals.
From British Heart Foundation who appear to price all their dresses at £8.49 so not cheap.
I promise - I really do - to cull at least 2 of my current maxi dresses in the load that I'm taking up to our local hospice shop this morning.0
