I had a good day today when I took back a jacket I bought last week which absolutely swamped me. I exchanged for ten Kilner jars all 1 litre - cost a total of eight pounds which would cost me nearer 20 if buying new. Also I got a mobile phone anywhere charger for a pound (usually 6), 6 round M & S soaps for 1.25 and a set of 8 Discovery Channel DVD's on the Natural World for 4.00. All in all a satisfying trip.

Purple Kipling shoulder bag, complete with dangly fluffy monkey... £4.99 :j.

I really do not need any more bags, but wasn't going to let a bargain like that go by!

Found an angora and wool beret (made in England) at my local charity shop for £5. It is the warmest, cutest, softest thing ever!

  • I'm feeling so cosy and warm in a North Face soft jumper and North Face gilet in the same colour - both £4.80 each. For once I don't mind the weather turning colder :D. How anyone could part with them I just don't know!

Wheeeeee! Got my Xmas outfit sorted.

In the hospice chazza today got a pair of smart Monsoon 3/4 length black slimline trousers for £2 and a red Country Casuals BN top £1.50 to go with them. Also got 2 narrow black patent belts for 50p each and a printer cartridge for 50p (normally £20+, just hope it works!).

    :D:):D
  • Went to 4 different charity shops somewhere new to me today, but nothing took my fancy.

Came back home to home town to favourite RSPCA shop and picked up a lovely red crochet Rocha John Rocha cardigan for £4.95, a Mighty Boosh live dvd for £1.50 , and a Teachers series 1 dvd for £1.50. Very pleased with todays finds.

Popped into a Christmas Fayre in town today, and found on a clothing and accessories stall... another Kipling bag! Asked how much it was... £2 :T . This one has lost its monkey and detachable shoulder strap (it also has fixed 'handbag' straps) but otherwise is in great condition. I've rummaged through my bag stash and found a webbing clip-on shoulder strap that is perfect for it.

You don't see one for ages, then two come along at almost the same time :rotfl:.
