One was a beautiful, as new, black beaded evening dress for £15. Jacques Vert.
I also bought a lovely blue enamel mussels pot, unused, by Garden Trading for £5. It is still selling online for £35 so I was very happy as I love mussels.
You do live and learn! I had to google "mussels pot" as I never knew such things existed. I certainly wouldn't have known what one was if I'd seen it in a c/shop. (Probably would have bought it anyway if it was "a bargain" :rotfl:.)
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

Finds from the last week.....
An M & S panelled skater type skirt in a dark lilac and black check, BNWT for £3. Just perfect to go with a lilac coat I bought from a chazza a couple of years ago.
A long sleeved T shirt in just the right brick colour I was looking for £1....it had a teeny bit on the front that was undyed for some reason.....just a pinhead size....got the felt pens out and soon sorted that.0 -
I almost squeeled with excitement when I found a gorgeous Boden Limited Collection tunic in my size! It's navy too, which is the colour we have to wear to events at work, so will be so useful. Paid £4.95 but I imagine it was well over £100 new and is in perfect condition.
Also picked up a Mistral dress for £2.95. Not a brand I've bought before but looks very White Stuff like and is a pretty print.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

A good day today. Went to the Old Swan in Liverpool (lots of chaz shops). Red Cross were the cheapest. I got a Tu hoody for £2.50 and a brand new navy long sleeve Cotton Traders top for £1! Boyfriend got a brand new John Lewis top for £5 retails at £45, and a Vans hoody for £4. Very happy. :jI have every possession I want. I have a lot of friends who have a lot more possessions. But in some cases I feel the possessions possess them, rather than the other way round0

Got-it-spend-it - Mistral is a posh shop (clothing a bit like White Stuff) that has branches across the Cotswolds and just up the road from me in Ludlow - a good find!0

Good find! I've been told they are better than all the other sheepskin boots around;)0 -
Slightly off-topic, but I've just found out that my favourite two local charity shops are part of chains that use Workfare. I'm very much against Workfare and try to boycott everywhere that uses it, so now I can't shop there any more
Who'd have thought shopping ethically would be so difficult when you're using charity shops?! :mad:Saving for deposit: Finished! :j
House buying: Finished!
Next task: Lots and lots of DIY0
