I got a Boden top today for £6 and a pair of walking sandles for £7 well pleased.
Make £2 a day challenge - doing well so far.
  • I've had another dry spell in the CSs but things may be looking up. I got chatting to one of the managers yesterday and have wangled myself a role as Lego Set Identifyer :o:p with first dibs on anything I like :D :rotfl:

Then today I found a small Meccano car for 50p. I'd decided to start collecting this as there're usually a few kits to be found cheaply and I have a feeling that DS will enjoy it when a little older. (I also bought a Lego game and a vintage Clangers game for £8.50  but shhhhhh)

My CS bargain today was an unworn pair of summer sandals from 'Hotter' in shades of mauve which match one of my summer dresses exactly.
Cost me £9.95 but worth every penny as they were probably £40-50 new.

 According to their website, this season's summer sandals are from £52-£59 so you've done exceptionally well there. Congratulations. I saw some Hotter shoes in my Oxfam last week but they were 3 sizes too small............sigh. Next time.............

After months of scouring the carboots and CS, I finally got a Kenwood Chef at a CS! It's an a901, with bowl, whisk and kbeater. I got it home and not only does it work but they PAT tested it and it's got a six month guarantee. It was only £15 so I'm going to donate some more money to the charity, it still would have been cheap at twice the price.

Car Boot sun- same lady as last week still selling her toiletries so got a few more bits for £4 (one item alone was worth more than that!)- all new!
DS got a wooden train track and trains (£2), a car and helicopter (£1) and a wee bag of cars incl hot wheels (50p). Today in one charity shop I got- as new Clarks red shoes (gorgeous), 1.5 balls of Debbie Bliss wool, truck for DS, shower-gel (unopened) for £3 total, and in the other a Per Una top for £3 (pricey for me but gorgeous!). Pretty good :).

We were away for the weekend and I got an almost new double duvet & pillow case set for £3.95 and a pair of shorts for me for £1.50.

I love looking round CSs in other areas when I'm away, they always seem to have better offers than locally!

last week I snapped up a gorgeous lambswool Phase Eight jacket, it's purple and grey striped and so warm and cosy which (sadly) was perfect for the wet bank holiday weekend! Only £3.95, I'm one happy bunny :)
