Hi everyone!
After months of jealously reading about everyone's charity shop finds I can finally join in!
Went to a couple of charity shops in Hereford and the first one had a sign up saying "everything half price" so managed to get a pair of jeggings and a brand new white long sleeved h+m top for the princely sum of £2.
I then went to a Cancer Research one and again everything was half price. Picked up a black Topshop maxi dress petite size for £3.50- perfect for next year's holiday and this current weather, and I won't have to get my sewing kit out to turn it up! And a pair of cute River Island shorts which had no price on. When I queried at the counter they went upstairs to check and then said they were £1.50 so I snapped those up as well.
So happy with my finds! Especially after I went to Abergavenny about a month ago with the sole purpose of going around all the charity shops. There are A LOT there. I went into each one and found absolutely nothing-lots of stuff overpriced and/or average quality clothes so my Hereford haul more than made up for it!"The first time I see a jogger smiling I'll consider it."Joan Rivers0 -
My local CS has a box up at the back with crafty bits like buttons etc in it. Yesterday I found a selection of fabric pieces for my patchwork - really nice stuff like old Laura Ashley remnants that rarely can be found these days!
So happyI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Don't we all seem to be doing well with our bargain finding lately? :j
My week's haul....
Heavy cotton, biker-style jacket in a rust colour BNWT £1
White, M & S, skinny jeans £1 (sadly will be going back as they give me sausage legs syndrome)
Pale pink, stripey linen, men's shirt £1.50 (will wear as an overshirt with camisole)
BNWT, T shirt in dark purple 50p
and
Isn't it lovely when you find a whole outfit in one go?
Today in the hospice chazza I found a pair of Jaegar trousers in a sort of taupe/dark beige colour, obviously brand new as they still had that plastic Jaegar seal/tag thingy attached to the hanging loop. Was charged £2, don't think they realised that they were new!
Then in the community chazza down the road I found a Planet, soft satin blouse in a slightly lighter shade which tones beautifully with the trousers, £1.50
I will feel a million dollars in my £3.50 outfit :rotfl:0 -
Today in local CS noticed trousers that looked unworn and well made.
They fitted beautifully but I've never heard of brand.
Bought them for £2.99 and after quick check on internet found similar trousers with price tag 276.00 Euro.
In similar CS found 100% cashmere jumper for £5.00.
Perfect winter outfit for £8.00.

I was in Hereford Cancer Research shop today, and everything (except 'new' i.e. bought-in goods) was £1! They are having a clear-out ready for a shop refurb. I got four pairs of M&S trousers, two for me and two for OH, a pretty M&S summer blouse/shirt for me, a nice scarf with winter in mind, and a Primark fleecy blanket for the cat to sleep on! Total £7, very pleased.
Earlier I'd been in the big Hospice shop, and got OH another pair of chinos for £1, and my bargain of the day... a brand new Scholl mains electric pedicure set for £3 - just what I've always wanted as I get hard skin on the soles of my feet because I walk a lot. Excellent day's shopping.
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

Have had a lot of M&S tops, jumper dress and Dorothy Perkins tops/shirt dresses from mine recently. Also got DSS some more school trousers but got them home and found he's grown even more than we thought... He goes back Monday from his Mum's, hope she has bigger trousers for him, we have some which are long enough but too big around the waist, would need a belt for them!Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Jan 2012: £16,000+ [STRIKE] Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Sep 2013: £13,023 [/STRIKE]

I'm off to Liverpool tomorrow, and wondering if anyone had any charity shop recommendations? We're going to be in the city centre, and don't know the city very well, but we both love charity shopping!0
