  • Got a lovely skirt in Skipton yesterday. It's French Connection, black lace with strips of black ribbon, with a black lining. Bargain at £4.75, considering it's brand new! Trouble is I'm not sure it's "me" IYKWIM! Maybe it will come in over Xmas or back to the CS it goes!

    Evesham and Pershore yesterday.

Charity shop for older people (can't remember the charity name) - hoodie for smaller son. £2.99

Oxfam - 2 short sleeved school shirts (one for each son) - 99p each

Pershore Acorns (I think!) - short sleeved knitted top (bit like a long tank top) in green with angora. TU range with price tag still on (£25) - £7
  • First car boot sale in ages today, after a summer break. Three quarters of the way round and nothing took our fancy, and then... in the last row, a few great hits!

A practically new Radley bag - £10 (looking at it when I got home, there's something not right about the zip at the top - I think there's been a problem and someone's swapped it with another Radley zip - hey ho, everything else is fine and its a lovely little bag for a tenner).

An aquaroll for £8 - we've been after one for a friend for ages, but you hardly ever see them - they go for around £20 on ebay and aren't the easiest things to get delivered!

An electric greenhouse heater - new they cost around £70-100. This one was from the olden days, hardly used, and in its box with the original price tag of £50 on it. It'll be great to use in the caravan when we're paying for electric, rather than using the gas cannister that the van heater runs on.

    A good haul!

If anyone in Kidder is after a jacket, there is a lovely Zara woolen one in the old Kemp shop. Size 16 but didn't fit my big shoulders!

Someone posted a while ago about a good haul in Bourne - was there at the weekend but on Sunday so no luck! Not had anything lately but we're going to the IoW for a few days so might get the chance to have a rummage there. Good hunting everyone ;)

  • A friend's wife collects willow pattern so I keep a bit of an eye out for her. In the charity shop beside where I park at work there was an eleven piece 'assortment' rather than a 'set': two oval servers, four tea plates and five side plates.

I say assortment because they were three different manafacturers and one of the (mis)matched side plates was marked 'disherwasher safe': this was the one the assistant looked at before deciding that £2 was a reasonable price.

The two servers and four tea plates are 'originals' (though not antiques) and the other four side plates are modern (though not modern enough to be considered 'dishwasher safe').

I did ask was he sure that was enough, he said it was.

What's Latin for 'let the seller beware'?
