We're looking for clothes for my sister's wedding next month.

Got smaller son his shirt a week or so back but today think I got my dress! £8 from the Blue Cross (Worcs). It's this one:

I'm not really knowledgeable on fashion/what to wear but it's a Quaker wedding with barn dance so not especially dressy and it looks OK to me!

    Hi all :)

Been to Droitwich today and picked up an anchor print chunky grey jumper from New Look for £3.95. I'm sure it's last season as i'm a bit sad and can tell by looking at the labels.

I also noticed some lovely pretty New Look tea dresses in Blue Cross shop, but nearly died when i saw the prices of them £8.95 each. They were last season and looked new, but they probably one cost £20ish new anyway. Such a shame as they were my size and i would have snapped them up had the price been more realistic.

Hobsons Choice - My Mum lives in Worcester so i sometimes have a mooch around the shops there, but i agree they are very over-priced. My favourite is the Age Concern shops, especially the one down the Tything. Droitwich is also very expensive, but i have found some bargains as i go once a week. And also i have found some amazing bargains in Stourbridge.

    Suze :)

I was in Worcester yesterday (Thursday) but with a friend - and she doesn't do Charity Shop shopping (how very strange).
I came away with nothing! M&S prices are ridiculous, but maybe it's because I do too much chazzer shopping :D
Anyhoooo ... for anyone in the Kidderminster area, the new Kemp Hospice shop is due to open today (Friday) in the previous In Touch premises, near Age Concern and Oxfam.
    Happy hunting folks.
    Normal people worry me.

Had my eye on a skirt in my local Community Chazza Shop for a couple of weeks. Not my usual style, (midi, pencil skirt in red... think 1950's!). BNWT, lovely fabric, lined and well made. Priced at £3. Called in yesterday to find it reduced to £1.50 so bought it without trying it on cos was in a rush. Cor, it fits like a dream and I just LOVE it!!! :j

I like chazza shops because I can try new styles without it being a major disaster if they don't work and I haven't lost major squids paying proper shop prices. :)
  • 2 dresses for work 1x black french connection long sleeves doesn't look worn, 1 x flowery h&m blue summer dress. £10 for the two

I'm not sure if it's still there but at the weekends droit which has a charity bookshop where you make a donation or swap for another book. I got some amazing cookbooks from there

I'm not keen on the charity shops in Worcester but I always get loads of things from Leominster.

The charity shop in stourbridge that's near waitrose (can't remember the name) is amazing I always get loads in there. Someone my size clearly buys shoes and doesn't wear them as I've had loads from there.

As an avid charity shopper I must agree about prices. They are becoming silly. So many Primark, Matalan, Peacocks items being priced at barely less than the price instore. Just seems incredibly greedy and then they wonder why people are not donating stock. I went to an area that I dont usually go to yesterday. The charity shops looked more like boutiques, very smart but very pricey. I would rather a little less interior design and a bit more for my money. I know they are there to make money for their charity but they are priceing themselves out of business.
