  • Thrifted a Lainey Keogh knit cardigan (an Irish designer) today for €6, and a Fran & Jane pinafore for €9 (Irish boutique, this would have originally sold for €130-150 I reckon) ... neither are really my style but the pinafore especially was a good buy as I'm beginning to buy more sensible office appropriate clothes as I job hunt.
  • Brand new ladies coat £7.99 on my birthday & it fits. I have been wearing a mans jacket for the last 3 years, buts its too big & baggy now, I am so chuffed.

Yesterday - pair of Clarks casual loafer-style shoes for OH, £1.50 (Action Against Animal Cruelty shop - best c/shop in town for giveaway prices). Good condition, look hardly worn. Checked online and although they aren't available from Clarks now, eBay sellers of similar ones say RRP would be £89.99!

In the same shop, a Tupperware oval bowl set, in four parts - main bowl (could use for serving salads), shallower bowl that I'm not sure what it's for, insert with holes in for defrosting, and a lid. Cost me 40p. I had one when I was first married in the 70s, when Tupperware parties were all the rage, and it cost me about £12 even then! That one went a bit stained over the years and got thrown out eventually, but this one looks good as new.

Today - two black rain hats, brand new still with Florence & Fred £5 & £5.75 tags on, in the £1 rummage basket in Cancer Research. Tesco must have donated a load of stuff as there was all sorts in there, so good for them .
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

Someone asked earlier about finding out where charity shops are located.

This is dead useful if you're ever in a new area and want to look for some bargains http://www.charityretail.org.uk/locator.php :j
Even if you have no intention of buying - a browse of stock and prices can tell you if you are in a good area. on the other hand, you know that you are in trouble if you can't afford the local chazzer!
