A Hugo Boss cashmere jacket. £20 in Action Cancer.0

A pair of raw silk curtains, lined and interlined, eyelet style with a linen centre panel for handling in a soft gold colour. Brand new, donated by a curtain making company due to wrong size, fit my bedroom perfectly. £35 the most I have ever spent in a cs but they must have cost £100's originally and they are beautiful.Slightly bitter0

We went into local our cat protection, banardos and age concern C/S today to donate and have a little look around; forgive the terminology but the shops were all really whiffy. Musty I can cope with but this was really rank!! Things we donate are always clean however if they've been stored a while we usually give our things a quick airing and spray with febreeze if it calls for it!
Are our shops the exception or are C/S starting to get stinky???0 -
I think it must be a local issue because the shops I go to smell very strongly of Febreeze.
Latest purchases while staying at my sister's for Christmas were some funky jeans and a lovely multicoloured Per Una cardi for a fiver each plus an Easiyo yoghurt-maker for 2.990 -
I've generally found that the smaller the size of the shop the more likely it is to be, what shall we say 'a bit off?'
My favourite charity for space and cleanliness is Banardos.0 -
Hi all,
Before Christmas, I tried on a lovely red wool coat in BHS £45 but the fit was all wrong for my shape, really disappointed.
Sulking off up the road, noticed a red wool coat in CS window, stuck my head in asked what the size was, and if I could try it on - perfect fit, perfect shape, looked brand new - £8..... One happy bunnie.
I am in the process of clearing DD,s 'floordrobe' to take to them, like most 16 yo girls she only ever wears things for 5 minutes before discarding them.Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!
£300/£1300 -
