Games Clearance in Currys/Dixons

Went to Halifax branch yesterday, all the signs were up but there was nothing to be had. I asked the sales assistant who looked me in the eye and said 'the staff have probably got them'

I think he was miffed as he had missed out as well

On a seperate note the PS2 price was marked up as 49p not £49

Anyone else notice this

WOW!! PS2 for 49p! i wudn't mind a spare one at that price! As I mentioned before, the guy marking it down had a big sheet with loads of stickers for 47p, 97p etc....might have made a mistake while putting the sticker I guess. Do they have to give it to you at that price if such a mistake occurs?

Yah I guess that does make sense. But then again the Xbox 360 has been around for more than a year (I think!) before the xbox got so dramatically reduced. Kinda wudn't make sense in that respect as the ps3 is not even out yet!

Edit- That said, I do really hope it has gone down!! :j

just been in the hammersmith branch and they have only reduced everything by 50% so there were still some xbox games that were scanning for £12.50 and most were about £5 - not quite the bargain 97p people seem to be finding

Managed to get 4 xbox live starter kits for £0.47 each!! Thats two years each for me and my bro for a quid each!!
Got prince of persia two thrones and chronicles of riddick yesterday for £0.97 each for the xbox!
Cheers to the original poster, never thought i would get any of it but did well today. The xbox lives being the real suprise.
Sister in law also got me the ps2 Singstar bundle as well today.

All from Maidstone, Chatham and Aylesford currys.

p.s. I initially took a few to the tillpoint and asked them if they would scan them for me, when one scanned at 97p I asked if they had anymore and thats when they printed me a copy of all the xbox prices in stock

none had any 97/47p stickers on at all
