Sorry, they didnt let me keep the list cos he said he shouldn't really be showing it to me, there was quite a few more on the list at 47/97p but because they were written a bit cryptic (for example swbatlfrn tnwclas for the star wars one) I didnt catch what some of them were. So I would try and get them scanned even if they weren't listed on my last post. They've got cars big as bars
They've got rivers of gold
But the wind goes right through you

I went into my local store (Banbury) and had a number of xbox games scanned - all were £10 - £25. KOTOR2, Republic Commando, Phantom menace (I think - was certainly one of the recent SW film tie-ins), Global Strike and one of the Midnight Club games (possibly dub edition).
I reckon the staff had had all of the cheap ones and left the non-reduced ones - though i have had a fair bit of luck there before with the previous reductions so shouldnt really complain.
Nothing in Oxford Botley Rd either as of yesterday.0 -
Are we saying then that it is simply worth taking a few to the till and asking if they will scan them and check prices, or is it easier if you just ask if there are any discounted ones?
My Currys has many games but none are stickered to notify you of the reduction. Has anyone bought any PS2 games, and which ones were they? I'll go in again tomorrow or even this evening, and get them to scan specific ones if anyone can gimme any pointers to which ones to get?
Thanks in advance!ROCK:staradmin0 -
outbackrockstar wrote:I have to agree with the comments above, I don't think it's fair that staff can just snap up all the best bits before customers even get a look in. We pay their wages, without us they wouldn't have jobs. It would be nice for the people who do usually pay so much for items from these stores to at least have a chance of getting a good bargain now and again.
Good luck all!
What about the fact they work for the minimum wage in what is usually a s*** job?
I've never spoken to someone who works for DSG at the bottom of the ladder and likes it so TBH I see no problem with the staff being able to buy up clearance stock.0 -

Still don't think they're going to get the sympathy vote. If you don't like your job, change it. Its not as if theres a shortage of retail jobs out there is it? Why should customers have to pay more for these games because someone whos happy to moan but can't be bothered to get off their backsides and find a better job has decided they'll take all these games as a "perk"?
I realise this doesn't apply to all DSG staff but to your comments in the statement above. You can't go wrong with carpet bombing...0 -

If there was something I wanted then yes I would.
There is a big difference though between buying a game and grabbing everything decent thats there and bunging the whole lot on ebay isn't there?
I'm not saying staff in shops shouldn't get the chance to buy sale stuff, just that punters should be given a fair chance, punters that is whos cash keeps shops going.
(Sorry I hit the thanks button instead of quote but I still see your point:o )You can't go wrong with carpet bombing...0 -
