Is it? Surely if a company advertise a bargin they should follow up staff should have a limit to what they can buy.

The PS2 at Asda is the first thing I have ever got advertised on offer but i had to get up early to get one. I don't believe staff should be able to buy more than a couple of each item.

I remeber when i worked at makros for a bit, the staff were only allowed to buy a bargain goods after a certain time in the evening so customers had the first chance to get down to the store and buy them which i think is fair, staff go to there job to get paid but customers go to spend money if a staff member dosn't get a bargain they'll still turn up for there job, if a customer dosn't get a bargain cause the staff have had em all before they hit the floor they may not come back.

  • I think Megazoid has made a very valid point there. I'm sure most of us would have bought stuff for ourselves and for friends (not for ebay) if we worked at these places. It is for the company to recognise the fact that it is we who pay top whack (sometimes ridiculous prices) for stuff all year round because of which they can subsidise the prices of outgoing products to make room for new ones. To add to Megazoid I would not mind staff being able to get these bargains before the 'certain time in the evening' as long as it was limited to maybe one each (you have to remember staff can be customers too!)

    Cheers
  • Would these be availabe in currys digital as well or is it just limited to the out of town currys?
    Cheers

I would have thought that if there all linked to the same central pricing database, then if they sell the item it would have been reduced too. in therory :)

Just been into Loughborough Currys (as someone on here said they had stock yesterday)...
Manager claimed to know nothing about anything... never heard of it... don't understand etc etc
No PS2s, no cheap games or accessories, absolutely nothing
Looks like Loughbroough don't want to let a single thing go for cheap... except maybe to their staff? Who knows?

Popped into curry's yesterday. There were only two 97p games; a snooker and a football one, not the sort of games my kids like. Also Tony Hawks Underground 2 for £4.97. There were also some gaming accessories but can't remember what exactly.

Didn't come out with anything but worth a look just in case.

those logik ipod skins have been that price for months.

When i used to work at currys/dixons, I always used to get at the bargains first before customers. Only advantage of being an employee! Once got an amazing 36" toshiba TV for £100 including 5 years insurance :)
