Just to clarify the situation (I rang to see if they could confirm that my account's been opened, which it has). The opening deposit must be by cheque, however, any additional payments in to the account can be done by electronic transfer (but remember you can't add to the account once it's been withdrawn).Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Hi, many apologies if this has already been asked but I'm at work so can't read through all previous 6 pages!
Can I open this account with just a transfer of previous years ISAs or does it need to have new money as well?

BM has confirmed by email that I don't need to send a cheque in, but can arrange a transfer by BACS. The problem is, I applied online and don't yet have an account number for the ISA....:o

Could you please tell me which email address was it (or replyed to your request)?
I have opened the account with high hopes on the 7th April, but bM has been really slooow on anything.
They tool 2 weeks to clear my check from my bank (and I really did not like all that wasting time... they said they are not sure if they can backdate the investment... still waiting an official answer) and still have not transferred my old isa!

Yes, it was withdrawn this morning but if you've already applied you've got two weeks to deposit the money.
I am in the process of applying for this account.
I have received an account number and now need to supply forms of ID and the opening cheque.
Is there a reference for this 2 week grace period?0 -

After seeing the posting saying that the account was closed I phoned and was told that if I'd already applied and had the forms that I had two weeks to get the money to them.0
