Maybe MSE could place a template here that we could print off and with the PPC.

At least "we" can feel that "we" are fighting back....and eventually maybe these companies/rackateers may get the message that "we" know what they are upto and what their game is.

    Well Done OP

I think this is a great idea.

If anybody has the time to design an A4 printable leaflet, maybe with a link to this forum and maybe a sticky as well, i definately would keep some in van and fix to scammers signs whenever could.
Its amazing how many people still dont know about this scam.

It needs to be really sticky so you can stick it to the signs in the car park, If I got "fined" £75 to park in Aldi it would wipe out 2 years savings on my shopping! They have ANPR in our local Aldi and you only get an hour! I have moved to the next one as they still have free parking.

Sadly that would be possible criminal damage. Can't be sticky.

Love it, yet another customer lost by the car park cowboys! Why are retailers so STUPID??

Is there no way we can counter-attack the PPCs via their clients, especially the big supermarkets?

OK, I appreciate that they want to stop people abusing their car parks. Unfortunately, there is no legal way of doing so. Employing these cowboys is doing their reputations and profits no end of harm.

Pretty much every supermarket could put any form of control it wishes on its car park. All that is needed is entrance and exit barriers operated by some sort of ticket either free or paid. However, that would be the end of the gravy train for the PPCs. So they don't want it done.

I very much doubt that abuse of disabled spaces is a real problem. Most of the cases we see are of disabled people wrongly targeted by the cowboys for profit.

Do the supermarkets actually realise that they, via their agents, the PPCs, are as unable to legally levy a fine or penalty as you or I?

    Nope:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1966977

And they don't know about the threatograms unless we, the customers, complain and tell them. Supermarkets and other retailers, managing agents and landlords have been actively sought out by these companies and have simply fallen for the promise of having thei car parking problams 'managed' for free, Like a protection racket.

It is only a real weight of compliants that will start to rid the first companies of these parasites.

Whatever happened to 'the Customer is King'?!

Can you imagine if you got a ticket at a barrier on entrance to a supermarket, which you produced at the till. If you are within the time limit they give you a ticket to get out. If you are over the limit they charge you £50 before giving you the ticket to get out.

How long do you think people would shop there? yet this is what they are doing in a covert way, only its not them making the money its a PPC taking the bulk!

Regarding the little yellow bags, technically if you took it, it would be theft, as you intend to deprive the rightful owner of the little yellow bag of said bag.
However who is the owner? The PPC has given it away and I am sure the driver does not want it!

Ahh but the cunning part of plan is that I NEED the yellow pastic bag to still be attached. The goon yesterday did a quick visual inspection fater he came back. Just slice the top with a pen and slide in whatever you want. No need to remove the bag !
All aboard the Gus Bus !
