I've just ordered my travellers cheques from M&S over the phone.. Talk about the first degree!

The operative tried to put me off buying TC's, saying that holiday makers have had problems lately using them as currency in some countries.

I'll be depositing them on thursday ;)

The T&Cs for both the M&S Card and M&S Travel Money, both of which are available on their website, provide the necessary confirmation.

You've already checked that your bank will accept them then? Some do, some do for a fee, and some refuse point blank.

Not yet will do that once I know I have been accepted. I have two curernt accounts one with Nationwide and the other with First Direct so 2 chances of being accepted.

However if they dont I will use the card to do my normal shopping (food, petrol, clothes etc) over the next 2/3 months and save the money from my current acc/wages that I would have used to pay for them instead. Will achieve the same final result (hopefully!) just doing it a slightly more convoluted way.
