Renewables: "talking 'bout my generation"
Comments

Hi
The install went well, on our first (part) day we generated 2.57 kwh. We now are waiting for our energy assessor appointment. We would also like to get a gadget that displays information. I have looked at a wattson as I saw it mentioned on here, but need to check with our installer as to what will work with our system. Pouring rain for now

Wattson works with any system, combined with the free Holmes software, you can't go wrong...:T
2.2 O's today.... less than a £5 to reach my target this 1/4 relax folks......2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).0 -

Not sure whether to be pleased or worried that tomorrow's forecasts are predicting lots of sunshine. Anything might really happen !
I wouldn't go quite so far as to say they got it right - later updates were predicting more cloud than we actually got and missed the cloudy spell just as we switched the oven on but broadly speaking they were better than usual.
Day yield 20.15 kWh (or a tad under £10).
Tomorrow's forecast seems rather similar to yesterday's forecast for today. Hoping for another tenner (but not that confident).NE Derbyshire.4kWp S Facing 17.5deg slope (dormer roof).24kWh of Pylontech batteries with Lux controller BEV : Hyundai Ioniq50 -
There should be a chance of some sunny spells around but with the possibility of a few showers or longer spells of rain although some parts may stay dry. :rotfl:
Didn't look like anything like above did it Eric? The BBC prediction is saying fine all week and into next!!
My ESE stormed to 10.6kWh(Hawaii+) but was let down by the SSW that managed a modest 8.6kWh(no Hawaii)
I've been out all day paintballing(yes it stings) but happy to come home to hear wife had done 3 loads of washing and 2 lots in the dryer. No sunday roast for me today though(pizza)

I wish they wouldn't try forecasting a week ahead - at least not until they've cracked getting one day ahead correct.NE Derbyshire.4kWp S Facing 17.5deg slope (dormer roof).24kWh of Pylontech batteries with Lux controller BEV : Hyundai Ioniq50 -

Last night, today was going to be wall to wall sunshine. That got downgraded first thing this morning to bright start then occasional clouds. We did have the bright start but current 'cloudy interval' has lasted a couple of hours already and showing no sign of giving way.
You'll be able to guess how excited I am about the good week they've forecast :mad:NE Derbyshire.4kWp S Facing 17.5deg slope (dormer roof).24kWh of Pylontech batteries with Lux controller BEV : Hyundai Ioniq50 -

I find it more productive to look at the BBC's moving map image. The summary maps will never be able to get it right when local conditions dominate.
I got up one morning last week and the back of the house was bone dry (just a touch of drizzle that wasn't wetting the ground) but the front of the house was completely wet. Thanks for info on Wattson and owl, now trying to choose between the two...
We have generated just over 30 kwh in three days, so very pleased with that.
Thanks to Martyn 1981 for the very informative sticky at the start of the thread it was so helpful. I haven't yet worked out were the thanks button is.
